Karen went in on Godfrey and this B.A.N yesterday. Karen said that she always suspected Godfrey was secretly a fraud, which explained why he hadn't advanced further in his comedy career despite his obvious talent. Ultimately, this B.A.N got exposed.

At this point david olowhatever shouldn't be considered for any black American roles because he's not believable if that's his take on black Americans. any African British actor should be given the side eye if given black roles over black American actors.
I will say this: Karen generally shies away from this topic. However, she interviewed this guy and didn’t get that vibe from him at first. It was only when he got around his own people and that B.A.N Godfrey, that he showed his true colors. That is the reason why she spoke on it. If you listen to the interview, she’s starting to question whether foreign Black actors should play prominent African American roles.

A simple denunciation of Oyelowo's remarks would have been a show of good faith, demonstrating that Black people of any origin need to respect each other.
This is what I mean when I say both sides have to do better.
If this were the other way around, every BGOL member of an immigrant background would be running into this thread, Giorgio Moroder's opening theme from Scarface would be playing in the background.
