On the real, I respect her choices because it's her life and she has to live it the way she chooses... I just hope she was/is smart enough to put away solid bread, make preparation for life after she is no longer able to make money doing porn... Err where did i say that and where does it say that in the article? All i saw was she was left with two kids to PROVIDE FOR ON HER OWN out the blue and she did whatever she had to to take care of them. Pretty much. When you go from working 2 jobs, and carrying 13 units in school to working 1 job, carrying 13 units AND working 3-5 days a month bringing in 5-8k/ month from those 5 days of work guess what happens? You have more time to do what you WANT to do. For me... it was be able to raise my kids and not have them going from day care to babysitter while I struggled to pay bills and study.

The thing that always cracks me up about the people that try to down talk my decision to do porn is that they act like my kids are toddlers that have no clue about what I do for a living. My kids are 19, 18 and 14. I have one in college, 1 on his way to art school and 1 in high school. They all know that I am in the porn business and usually - so do their friends' parents. Never have my kids been teased, never have they had any problems, never have their friends' parents stopped them from coming to our house or staying the night. You know why? Because I don't show up to PTA meetings and school functions with micro-mini skirts and stripper heels on. Not to mention that my kids are well mannered, intelligent children that get great grades and are well rounded. My oldest is in her 2nd year at a private university, without any student loans... because "I" knew how to put my money away from fucking for a living. She's been with the same boyfriend for 5 years, is on birth control, and is maintaining a high GPA. I pay the rent on her off campus apartment and give her $400/ month allowance so she won't HAVE to work while going to school because she HAS to. Not a lot of people can say their parents did that for them. My son is an artistic savant that is preparing for a successful art career... that will ALSO be paid for from a college fund I set aside from FUCKING for a living. My youngest, at 14, is on the production team of a talk radio show for teen girls, interns at a state politicians office and attends a performing arts high school in New York where all her instructors say that by 12th grade she should be auditioning for American Idol. My career has benefitted my children in that the contacts I've made has allowed me to get Korg mixers for my musician child, and publishing companies interested in my artist child. Do I big up my life? Hell yes. What responsible parent doesn't? I have zero credit card debt, my kids' college educations are paid for, and I am happy with who "I" am. Who gives a fuck what some random ass dude that acts like he's "never had no parts of the pussy" thinks about me? Not I! And if some of you boys want to suck each others dicks while patting each other on the backs with dancing gifs and LOL emoticons for who can talk the most shit about the porn chick on BGOL... guess what? I'm in my nice warm apartment, making my kids dinner, working on my column and waiting for my man to finish watching football so I can suck his dick and hand him a plate of warm food. That would assume that I have AIDs... Considering I don't - AND have never been on a single quarantine list when there has been an incident of HIV in the business... I'd say I did quite well. And considering my kids have turned out to be pretty amazing and are on brilliant paths in their lives, I know I've done a great job.

So many people have been programmed to think that depending on welfare and/ or "working" the system is a good thing when all it does is institutionalize themselves and their children at an early age. I remember walking out of a welfare office because the woman told me that my rent-controlled $775/ month apartment in Santa Monica near the beach in a small walk-up building in a good neighborhood, with good schools was too much rent and I would have to move because I would only receive $435/ month to live on. I immediately asked her, where am I supposed to live with 2 kids for under $400/ month? Her response was to hand me an application for public housing. I told her never mind and kept working my two bullshit ass jobs in the mall and going to college until I started doing porn. Then I quit 1 job, (kept the one at Gap Kids for the 50% discount on kids clothes,) and finished school. Sometimes you make choices that aren't conventional but for me, it was common sense! I know a girl that has been on section 8 for over 20 years, has 4 kids, 4 baby daddies and no husband... working at Walmart for just as long. THAT is institutionalization at its finest. But hey! It works for her. For me? Not so much. I have friends with Bachelors degrees working at Macy's back home in Michigan and haven't seen nearly as much of the world as I have... and they are happy. I had bigger aspirations than that. I couldn't imagine still struggling for the sake of struggling when there are other options out there.

Thank you. I hope anyone that has children gives thought to what it will take to not just raise them today, but to give them the favor of long term success. I really try to provide them with not just the essentials; food, clothing, shelter & medical care, but to give the opportunities that will advance their position in life. I strategically placed my youngest in a politicians office for her volunteer internship for high school because she is a young, neo-feminist who is extremely outspoken and a great debater. This volunteer work will not only look great on her college applications in 3 1/2 years, but it will provide her with an amazing reference from someone outside of her school to help her get into the best schools. She's always giving sound relationship advice, (based on common sense and a sense of self-esteem as opposed to experience,) to her peers so when I received information about this new radio show for hr age bracket, I told her to contact them. She was hesitant, but I explained in no uncertain terms that this was something she needed to do and why.
Sometimes, you just have to focus on their strengths and encourage those... connecting them with the right people so they can flourish. That doesn't have anything with my career... its all about being a good parent.
