Naomi played and got eliminated in the third round
Sha'carri violated a rule and at the time of suspension was enjoying an uptick in attention and endorsements.
Simone just had a freak out and lost focus.
None of them had any plans or intentions to protest or boycott the olympics....none have a history of speaking out in that way...

Biles is the undisputed GOAT who hasn't lost since 2013. She's already won countless Olympic golds. She didn't clam up. She's already performed under the pressure. For whatever reason, she "lost the floor". On her first routine, she planned to do 2.5 flips and did 1.5 and pulled up and she still managed to land on her feet because she's the goat. Gymnasts say they're like divers except they dive into a pool with no water. If you lose your sense of where the floor is, you can have a serious life-changing injury. Whatever is causing it isn't as important as something has caused it, she's identified it, and she's decided that she's more important than medals (and she already has more than any other gymnast).
White folks think they own black athletes.. especially black Olympic athletes. "You're not competing for yourself. You're doing it for your country!"..and you already know that White Folks really think they're the only "real" Americans. So when you're performing for "your country", they literally mean that you're competing as representatives of white Americans.

Hey I'm disappointed but she made her decision and its her life...that said, GOAT status stands until someone comes along and TOPS what she's accomplished...Simone Biles is the standard by which every other gymnast will be judged.
