like I said..she lost the eye of the tiger...she lost her edge and WHY that happened only she knows and will be speculation for us forever. As a PROFESSIONAL athlete, she's paid to produce and pressure comes with that....aint no one giving out 100+ MILLION dollar contracts just to watch that athlete walk away at the moment of truth and NOT feel some kind of way about that shit. No fans who have emotionally invested in her success and talent and WANT to see her achieve watch her walk away at the moment of truth and NOT feel some kind of way about that.Classifying athletic failure - physical or mental - as a health problem benefits no one. Elite performance at the highest level is hard. Failure, and fear of failure, is part of the struggle. We are all human and can sympathize, freaking out in a stressful situation is part of the human condition. People fail.
There is nothing wrong or abnormal going on here. This failure is the fault of Simone Biles. She let herself, her team, and her country down. Yes, that is a heavy burden; it is the one she carries. We still love, adore, and admire her as the greatest gymnast of all time, and hope she gets her mind right. But let's call this what it is.
no hate or lack of support just shock and disappointment.
