WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:
Ask President Obama to Appear on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher
Herewith, on the occasion of Bill Maher’s 60th birthday, we the people, especially viewers of Real Time with Bill Maher, respectfully request that President Obama appear on Real Time and thereby honor that particular audience (and their support for him), as he has so honored the viewers of so many other TV shows and media outlets; or if not, to please, respectfully, tell us why.

we have until Feb. 14th to come up with 100.000 signatures.

i posted it because bill maher said it's on whitehouse.gov site but it's a pain in the ass to find so i am posting it here for the BGOL fam to sign.

Why is this impossible to do? Bill Maher is the executive producer of Vice HBO and he's on the board of Vice Media. The president was on a Vice special so what's the difference?

Either ratings or Obama thought Maher was a risky interview (but, in the latter case, it's year 8 now so that'd be lessened).

Hell, dude gave a million in 2012 before people were passionate about it; O should do it.
 
Bill feels slighted because President Barack Obama did Seinfeld's vanity show that airs online and an obscure channel. The President did Letterman and John Stewart's final run, is Bill Maher leaving?
If not, then wait. Why would he do an interview with an actively touring small venue stand up comedian that happens to have a show - does he appear on Corolla or Uncle Floyd after Maher?

to be fair Obama has done a shitload of random shows, podcasts and interviews that are less publicized then Obama.
if he can do O Reily he can do Real Time (and although critical at times Bill has been one of his loudest supporters)

I find it hilarious they're going the petition route. Maher probably was like "WTF" when the President did Marc Maron's WTF Podcast.

I hope this petition gets well over the amount of signatures just to have the administration release a statement refusing to do the show.

I used to watch Real Time regularly, but dude showed his true self a few years ago. He's a white ultra Liberal Racist/Zionist fuck boy with a Black woman fetish who's more obsessed with religion than any atheist I've ever known.

his father was catholic, he was raised in the church, and his mom left her faith. As for being pro Israel, so am I. ARABS are not really pro black so fuckem.

Shit, because once Maher started going at Obama, he fell out of favor with SOME on the board. The fact that you should send Obama an invoice for all the political posting you started doing AFTER he hit the scene has something to do with why I associated you not liking Maher with Obama. If I was wrong, oops.

Other than Obama, he has been saying the same shit for 20 years. Still has said that U.S. should let Israel deal with its own issues without helping them, and that isn't pro-Israel.

on whose shows Obama has appeared, have had more sanitised
mouths than Bill Maher. Obama has a responsibility to protect the
Office of the presidency from the ridicule it would incur were Bill
Maher to spout his usual penis jokes in the presence of the president.

Yes, Bill Maher has been a staunch Obama supporter, but unless
he can make a commitment that he will not utter any profane
words on the show that features Obama, there should not be any
acquiescence from the White House to this deserved but risky
invitation by Mr Maher's show.

Whether he has little time or not, he is the president of
the United States, and any disrepect directed to him
is disrespect to not only the Presidency, but the United
States itself.

I have no issue with Obama going on that show or answering the petition so I will sign it. I won't watch it ....Sounds very simple.

I donated to Umar's school for black male children although I don't agree with Umar. Why because the school is a good idea and if he pulls it off great.

Just as a gave a dude begging on the off ramp some money because he said he ran out of gas and his wife and children where in the car. It was cold and if he was lying big deal I didn't give what I couldn't afford but if he was being truthful I didn't want his children to be in that weather.
