Shannon Sharpe says Ja Morant is not hard. “You’re not gangsta, you’re not hood.. stop pretending, you’re worth $200M”

I don't understand how anyone can blame the friend. They're chilling boppin to music when that goddamn idiot reaches for his gun. His friend peeped game quickly and tried to save him. Anyone blaming the friend here is wrong.
still his fault. you don't live stream anything, especially with a burner in the car and knowing ja is a dumb ass. I say this to not take any blame from Ja but dude shouldn't put anything on live

Ja knows he's livestreaming when the gun is in his pocket. The idiot is looking in the camera when he pulls the tool out. This is all on the idiot Morant. If his boy didn't pull the phone away hed still be flashing the mofo. Your boy is simply an idiot.

To all the people saying he has a right to own a gun. It's not about that or him not breaking any laws by flashing it. Ja is tied to the hips with corporate America. They have a vested interest in him maintaining a certain image. It's what affords him all those millions of dollars. He not some 19yr old working overnight stocking shelves at fucking Wal-Mart that no one gives a fuck about. He's the face of a franchise and one of few for the league. You combined that with his past indiscretions. It's lacks of good judgement and is not a good look.

Yeah it's b/c basketball is a corporate sport in N. America and their main demo they cater to is liberal white america so they can't allow him to portray himself in this way

He acting stupid and childish, irresponsible, im not defending him. Maybe I missed it but has the team said what rule he broke this time?

and his friend doesn't know that? protect the bag at all costs. A true friend wouldn't even let you have a gun! These are yes men.

But at the end of the day, you're right, this falls on Ja.

the rule on not making your team the NBA and the companies that signed you to millions of dollars worth of contracts (nike, coke) look stupid..?

Memphis cats tell me he has brandished on dudes before and he went to his sister's bball game and went into the stands where a female student was talking shit about his sister, and broke her phone. No charges were filed because Ja paid for a new one and more. Who does this guy think he is?

it has nothing to do with being anti gun

you sound like them CACs on facebook that can't see past their MAGA stupidity.
Ain't no Maga shit over here. Just trying to find out what rule he broke. If you don't know just say that. If they worried about optics they need to say that.

If they are openly anti-gun cool.
When he signed the contract there's things you can't do. you rep the Memphis grizzlies the nba nike power aid to sell things to the public it's not the gun he could be smoking weed (even if it is legal) doing porn or everyone's favorite beating his girlfriend. They sell a image and he is not living up to it.

Team rules or life rules? Cause I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be riding round brandishing a gun.

morality clause in contract. can't have a weapon on you as an employee of the nba. he has the choice to give the 200 mil back and do whatever he wants. Usually when you work for a company as a public figure, you represent the company at all times. Doesn't matter if they tell you not to hold a cookie. Don't like the terms? Don't sign the contract.

You can have a legal gun on you but what you can't do is flash it while turning up to music in a car on the gram. It is all about images you try to sell to the public.
correct, I meant holding it without the need to use it but to be more specific, yes
