- My friend T' was raped by her STEPFATHER growing up

- My friend A' was sexually assaulted on several occasions by his CAMP COUNSELLOR when he was 12 back in the early-90s

- My friend S' was assaulted by her MOM'S BOYFRIEND while in her teens in the early-90s

- My friend R' was molested by his AUNT in the early-80s

- Friend B's sister M' was raped by a stranger while standing at a bus stop latenight one evening back in the mid-90s

- My grandmother was nearly raped (in her 30s) by a drunken FISHING BUDDY of my grandfather's back in the mid-1950s in the daytime 2 rooms down the hall from my grandfather and his card-playing buddies. She kicked him, hollered for help, and they kicked dude out of the house

ONE OF MY LADIES WAS ALMOST ASSUALTED ON A DATE BY THIS TRICK, HE LOCKED THE DOOR, GRABBED HER AND DEMANDED HEAD. THE ONLY WAY SHE GOT AWAY WAS REACHING IN HER PURSE FOR HER BLADE, HE THOUGHT SHE PROBABLY HAD A GUN BECAUSE HE OPENED THE DOOR BEFORE SHE COULD PULL IT OUT. Some people feel better when they can let a bad experience out. This forum is virtual. That being the case, everyone here is anonymous. This is the perfect venue for people to talk about this type of misfortune. As they talk about it more, they heal a little more. Besides, there may be people reading this that have gone through similar circumstances. This may be what they need to get through.

Anyway, I feel for all the people that told their stories. My God help you in your healing.

I empathize with all of you ladies and men who have been taken advantage of. I really feel like the laws in this country need to be stiffer against child molesters, even tougher than slangers. Like torture those jerks. Anybody have any ideas about how we can protect our children?

Sometimes it's a family member who is the abuser, so what can you do then?

Well I have been avoiding this thread since it went up. . But I'll tell my story which I have never told anyone.

The first happened when I was about 12. I was on a school bus riding home and I was sitting at the very back with all the other "cool" kids. It was always always a long bus ride home because I went to magnet school that was located in the heart of the city and I lived on the total opposite side of town. So this particular day, this one boy who so-called liked me sits nexts to me. For some reason me and him with the other two people sitting in the back. .. can't recall why. So slides his hands up my skirt and though we probably the same age he was a lot bigger and taller than me. .I screamed and yelled and the only thing that stopped him from was the bus driver. To the this day I think he thought we were fighting. I don't think he had any idea the boy was sexually assaulting me. I went home that day bleeding badly. . . but never told anyone.

The second happened when I was 18. I had boyfriend who was abusive. And why I put up with that shit I have no idea. But this day we had an argument. I was at his house and I tried to leave. He would let me leave, punched me and hit me. . and eventually raped me. I never talked to him again after that day. . .I regret not saying anything but I guess at the time I just felt like because he was my boyfriend no one would believe it was actually rape.
