Secrets you know because of your occupation

Okay, I think this group is ready. I propose that this board make that come up we all talking about. All of us have $500 we can put up. Say, a group of us want to flip houses, then we pay back what we owe and give 10% of our profits. At the end of the year, all of us get a dividend from the investments sponsored by the group. We have enough lawyers and accountants on the board to make it happen. What do you say board?

My man...no matter what today's issues are and his bad they are, the witnesses are saying that things are better now.

Please consider this.

I hear ya bruh but there is nothing really to consider, things get better, because we as a people never ever stopped fighting, to make it that way..

but the fact remains there are think tanks that work day and night to monkey wrench our program..

all things considered this fact remains...

the key is to not be distracted

discover who we truly are,

peep game

and make it work in our favor...

sharing information like we are doing here is key...

Someday sun someday

I ain't hatin on the great MLK

But integration was not the best thing to

Happen to us..
Totally agree
my mom, grand mom, aunts and uncles would beg to disagree with you an that bruh.

as bad as shit is now, imagine it times 20.

As many have well stated we gave up financial stability in our communities, for that kumbaye feeling of false inclusion.

As playahaition earlier alluded to, if we could join together we could PROPERLY harness our billion $$$ spending.

Some always say how other ethnic communities have solid businesses serving the community and others why cant we?

The reason is we were strategically targeted to dismantle our thriving economies any time that they popped up and started putting white biz to shame. Like Bro Bill's said they bombed black wall street and dismantled the negro league.

These are just 2 examples of them crushing any major economic movements that united black folk set to accomplish.

but none of that was a result of desegregation.

thats just more evil from evil people.

correlation does not equal causation.

Most fortune 500 companies have departments who's only purpose is to grease the palms of lobbyist.

They know every politician's birthday, wedding anniversary, children's birthday, favorite sports, favorite Broadway show, favorite flowers, favorite alcohol kids birthdays, gran-baby birthdays, etc.

You see where I'm going with this. From that knowledge they send tickets/gifts/donations you name it.

Keeping these lobbyist and lawmakers happy keep things in their favor when it comes to doing business.

The lesson here is that you have to "cultivate" your customers and potential customers

I use insightly.com to manage custoemrs

It has an integration with google Apps so that when i get an email, there is an embed button that grabs the contact info and puts it into the Insightly database.

You add data on prospects as you go along and those indicators you mentioned are very powerful in making an impact (birthdays, kids names, wife, school etc)

Nah B

It used IDEN which was a 2.5G tech
How many times I have to explain this to the people the dispatch complex use 4G like protocols broadcast on a 2G rf. This is what Made Nextel push to talk unique and this is why the other carriers could not duplicate the speed of nextel PTT.

I have tools , which provision and deprovision servers at a click . I have spun up racks of machines remotely in my office , and have had all machines come online and provisioned with out even me leaving my desk .

Now moving to kubernetes , and yep I am spinning up the biggest cloud in Africa .

Edit :There is no entry position any more in IT . Unless you want to be cable monkey .

Go linuxacademy.com , do all those courses in one year and get employed at mid level .

I want to get more involved on the continent for sure

I have some peeps doing work there both on the investment side and on the tech side

Know cloud9 ?

Cloud IDE?
https://aws.amazon.com/cloud9/?tag=vp314-20

No need for a computer, code from a browser

Can you imagine the impact to resource constrained environments?

I truly understand your reasoning.

IMO the aspect of the civil rights movement you and your people point out was offset by the whites who co-opted the movement for their ultimate purpose.

Its (IMO) similar to the way they co-opted kaep's kneel stance against police brutality into disrespect of the military. Its what CACs do anytime we get a strong social movement to improve our conditions and treatment they co-opt it for their own ends.

Actually the ONLY reason they allowed desegregation in major league baseball was because it was on the verge of going under. The negro leagues were creating pocket economies along their routes that was killing mlb (and of course they had better talent on the field!)

easy b

I worked on the technology

4G like protocols?

nah it was a dedicated packet network that's all

I also worked on the other technologies so I know in-depth what i'm talking about.

When Sprint bought Nextel they started developing a PTT using a dedicated channel on CDMA but the latency was still a problem.

Again it was a packet based tech with dedicated radio channel whereas Sprint tried to do the same with a data channel not designed for radio comm.

it's not that the other carriers couldn't build a dedicated packet based network but rather they didn't want to spend the money doing that and today we see it was the right choice.

I worked on AMP, IS-95, CMA 1xRTT, EVDO and on the TDMA side: TDMA, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS (transmission, switching, core network, RF)

If you are using a phone on the east coast I probably designed the network

Real talk

My island people bought houses off that he'll I paid for my wedding off that.

Yea it can be done but with trust worthy people...

If it was to be done here contracts would have to be signed....

The nicest people could get real selfish and inconsiderate when it comes to money.

And there was a situation here where a dude was trusted and ran off with folks loot..

We would need protections against that which mean the bgol anonymity would have to be shelved we would have to be on some

Know your partner shit.

I could see the financially immature getting real stupid when he vets his hand..

I was in one for five hundred a week a 25000 hand meaning g when your turn came you got

25000 dollars...

It was an ol skool trini lady in charge and she was no joke getting that money she got gangsta real quick her sons were her goons..

I really took her such leadership for granted you always got your money even when folks

Fucked up

Honestly it used to always work fine till we let outsiders in and then they tried to copy it

I remember seeing damn near every episode of the people's court was about an office version gone wrong.

Aint that what Great Value is?

So there are companies out there that exclusivly make private label goods. I know because I was around when Kraft sold the Post cereals division to a private label company. So ther issue comes down to quality. Costco having the name brand companies make Kirkland products insures high quality......in fact thats the whole point. With some other private label manufacturers they don't strive for the same standard of quality.

Yup. There is a podcast that explained how most liquor in the word is make by about two or three companies. They buy it in huge amounts then dilute and flavor it to taste. So they all buy a really thick molasses like vodka in bulk then cut it like dope. Same with tequila and other brands.

Yea people were retarded and didn't understand how it worked

Especially if they got their hand early

They thought once they got their hand they didn't have to pay anymore which is retarded

You had to pay untill the last person on the list was paid

The key is to not spend your ha d untill

The susu was over

Folks was getting their hands and spending that shit right away

Foolish move

down here the sundries in our neighborhoods were already owned by Jews. Black folks were already going to Woolworth and Lansky's. we were already buying from Dwight Mann.

the businesses that we owned here were hair salons, barbershops, construction companies, funeral homes and entertainment spots. none of those were negatively affected here by desegregation. if anything more chances to grab money arose.

so while yalls points may hold true in some of the north, it isnt true universally.

For my corporate bruhs

Don’t assume your work will speak for you. Always hype and document your accomplishments.

Don’t let anyone speak for you, or OVER you in meetings.

If you get the chance to present to upper levels of management, do so.
If you get the chance to represent the company outside of work in official events, definitely do so. This is a huge networking opportunity.

If your car gets hailed on, in most cases you shouldnt be afraid to file an insurance claim. Its considered an act of God and it wont raise your rates, but word of caution, dont attempt to make your own additonal damage. We can tell the difference and both the hail technicians and the insurance adjusters will leave it off the estimate.

Insurance companies usually set up a catastrophe center in the area that was hit with hail or they have you take it into a body shop. If you were out of town and got hit with hail, the insurance guy comes to the body shop that you stop in at.

If you go to a catastrophe center, they will do the estimate on your car and they will cut you a check on the spot, minus your deductible. DO NOT CASH THE CHECK. The $3000 check that they cut you looks tempting and many people cash it and spend it and think that they are going to find someone to do it on the side for half the price only to find out that the damage to their car is like 3x as much as they thought. NOw youre rolling around in a new car with new rims and massive hail damage.

The insurance guy doesnt have the precision eye that a hail tech or a body shop guy is going to have so they overlook a lot of damage. They are also not aware of the access behind the metal when it comes to bracing. If the hail tech cant get a tool to the damage then that panel has to be done conventionally. Conventional, means bondo and paint or replacing the panel and painting which is far more expensive than the paintless dent removal method. You cant just paint one panel. If you have to have the hood replaced, then they are also going to have to paint both fenders so it matches the rest of the car. If the rear door has to be painted, then you have to blend the paint into the front door and the rear quarter. The additional painting of panels quickly adds up to more money that will far exceed the amount you were given in the check. If the hail blew out your windshield or sunroof you may be looking at thousands of dollars extra... For example, I covered a hailstorm when the new Ford Fiestas came out. Since it was a new model and they didnt even make replacement parts for it, those cars sat on the lot for weeks and the cost of a replacement windshield was $4000. The entire car probably cost $11000 new. If you have a car like a Charger or a Challenger that the value drops like a rock when youdrive it off the lot, you could actually lose money if the damage is severe and the car has to be totalled. They would give you a check for the value of the car, which could be a few thousands less than the total amount that you owe in payments.

If you dont cash the check and you take the car to a body shop with your estimate, it will be reevaluated and the body shop can request a supplement for the addition money to cover the cost. So instead of the insurance company giving you $3000 to fix your car, they are now covering the entire cost of your car at $12000. If the repaur estimate is more than 3/4th the total of the cars estimated value, your car will be totalled out.

Some insurance companies are better at estimates than others. Out of most of the insurance companies that I worked with, State Farm usually give way more money than needed to fix the car, Progressive, Geico, American Family, Farmers are usually on point. Allstate is the one company that Ive worked with that seems like they are counting on people cashing the check. Their estimates were usually horrendously low.

how major drug stores like CVS, and walgreens are ripping you off...good example, a bottle of plavix generic aka clopidogrel, (an antiplatelet) costs me (who owns my own store) let's say $3.5 for a bottle of 100
tablets. if you didn't have insurance and you went to CVS to buy it without insurance, CVS would charge you like $200 for the 30 pills. come to me an independent pharmacy, i will charge you $50. and to think that if me who doesn't even buy as much as the chains, pays $3.5, that means, CVS which buys in bulk, probably pays like 20 cents for the bottle of 30 and turns around and sells it for $200. so, there ya go. a little insider secret from the pharmacy world

I'm down

8 steps ahead.

Nobody at your job is your "Friend" keep your personal feelings to yourself at all times.
Don't get into games with anyone.
CC all relevant people every single email every single update.
Backup YOUR OWN STUFF
Make memo notes of things that happen that are noteworthy.
Take notes from private conversations with peers equal, or below.
As soon as you make some noise and are on track to be promoted the people above you will try to squash you down and the people on your level will hate--- not barb... yes barb is talking shit behind your back.
You need a thick skin. Don't approach things with emotion. Approach it with a goal in mind.
Always network within your industry. Be visible in the sense that you are what you proclaim to be.
DON'T take meetings with other companies, do keep their cards in your own personal foul. Their boss will approach you and try to get you to "choose"

LEAVE WORK AT WORK.

There are no brownie points if you're black. The bottom line is your pass to whatever you're trying to do. They already hate you but not enough to stop their checks from coming in.
If you are young you are going to get hated on. It is an old person's club filled with people who didn't have the juice you have as you move up quicker than they did.

If your secretary flirts, move her immediately. I've done it personally 4 times. Don't do it out of spite or give a reason "So and so will be a better fit" 'get you one you can TRUST. meaning trust she will hold water, she's professional and she ain't tripping about anything.

Treat people under you with confident respect.
If you're confident in them they will be confident and get the tasks done that you assigned them.

Do go to the parties they throw that are trash. Do not drink at those parties relax. observe. mental note. don't get caught in a compromising situation

All of this.

*two cents*
