Sebastian Telfair: Back to Living in the Projects as prison stint approaches

Damn, Telfair played 10 seasons on the NBA and seemed to have his head on straight. How the hell does this happen? Did he have an addiction problem?

I applaud him for returning. I'd have to move to Mississippi or ATL somewhere. Going back to the same jects' has to be a constant reminder of how things went wrong.

He fell victim to the lifestyle a lot of costly mistakes but his ego was bigger than his bank account.

Once he's able to touch money again he'll know what to do with it and how act.

Unfortunately this is real.

You don’t subject your kids to this, even for content.

And his girlfriend looks like his kid.

This is all around bad.

If thats what you want to believe.
Ive seen him recently singing a whole diff song.

Theres cameras there for a reason

He does have an NBA pension so he'll be good.....(if he's not in deep debt now)

NBA players are vested in the pension plan after three years of service, with the maximum benefit awarded after 10 years. Players can begin receiving a pension as early as age 45 with reduced benefits or wait until age 62 for the highest possible payments. A 10-year player could receive over $215,000 annually at age 62, while a three-year player receives a minimum of about $56,998 annually at that age.

I believe it.
1.) He is from the projects and did not grow up in an environment where people handled average to large sums of money well.
2.) He only made 19 million during his 11 year NBA career. After taxes and agent fees, that is 11 million.
3.) He got a divorce at the end of his career. His ex wife accused him of hiding and giving away assets. Doing this often ends up with money missing and spent.
4.) He had multiple legal cases. Legal fees can run in the 6 figures.
5.) He looks like he has a drug habit in the documentary. His eyes are watery and cloudy, his project apartment is messy, his kids are sleeping on a mattress, his girlfriend/babymother looks young and on dope, and he rides a bike/doesn’t seem to have a car.

It’s all unfortunate, but I don’t feel sorry for him. In the documentary he never accepts any responsibility and sees himself as a victim in it all.

His wife and lawyers will likely get some of this money.

I've actually seen him in person recently, and his family was at one of my families functions. He's back in CI, well was.

So he got a chance to see what life is like on the other side. They killed Jesus before he could see what life was on the other side. How long will the dna of snakes rule the universe?
