Seagate 1TB SATA Hard Drive $110 at Dell Home

Seagate = Maxtor = 5yr warranty
I have a 2yr old joint that's been making clicking sounds lately (I let it overheat in an external) backed it up and sent it in no problem.

1000gb @ 110 = $0.11 / GB ... do the math on any HD's you've bought and you can see this is a hot deal. Slickdeals discussion: http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=897596

Now I have so many HDDs that I don't even know what to do with it :smh:

Damn some say Seagate, some say WD.:confused::dunno::dunno: I'm in the market for a 1TB HD though, since my Seagate 250GB is holding up, I'll probably stick with them. I hear the WD 1TB will not let you copy your video and audio due to some type of software. If that's the case then fuck them.:hmm:

peace

You Know!?!
But such is life
Have been & still Am rocking with Externals plus internals of Both of significant size, maybe @ least a Tb with the combination - No Clicks and no problems; once somebody mentioned something about firmware update/grade but have had a WD b4 the MyBook days and still no probs

Go Figure and back ya shit up I guess

peace

:confused: Why man? I used to sell pc's and Seagate drives can take alot of pressure, Even my present Rig has 3 seagate drives

I've heard ALOT of people complain about their seagate drives being loud as hell and crashing on them.

It's possible that those problems have been resolved. Since this is a good deal, i'll read some reviews about this particular drive and see what people thought about it.

Thats a really good deal, Maxtor is owned by seagate so their shit is the same and to top it off it comes with a 5 year warranty. Western digital is a good brand also, but whether its seagate, maxtor, or western digital, hard drives tend to fail if u got a factory defect, so it doesnt matter which one of these brands you choose.

I use WD most of the time and Seagate only if the price is right. I haven't used Maxtor since 1999. Samsung used to make some okay drives too.

I've heard some folks talk shit about Seagate/WD/Maxtor. Personally I've been using different WD drives for upgrading and building PCs since 2001 and I've never had a problem out of WD
