Center - Wilt Chamberlain - You have to listen to Sonny Hill talk about how Wilt controlled the lane and blocked shots.
Power Forward - Dennis Rodman - I'm almost sorry that he ever won a rebounding title because he stopped being the defender that could shut down all five positions.
Small Forward - Scottie Pippen - The greatest defender ever could defend four spots on the floor and defended his man in the half court set and on the break and was a great help defender as well.
Big Guard - Joe Dumars - The toughest position for me but Dumars gets the nod over guys like Alvin Robertson. Jordan said he was the toughest.
Point Guard - Mo Cheeks - Isiah said that Mo Cheeks would pick him up as soon as he stepped off the plane. I still teach the Mo Cheeks steal to my young players.
Others receiving consideration are: Bill Russell, Marvin Webster, Caldwell Jones, Bobby Jones, Robertson, Anthony Mason, Rasheed Wallace, Bruce Bowen, Kevin Garnett, Byron Scott, Michael Cooper and my most underrated defender ever who was the best in the league at the turn of the century, Aaron McKie.
