Samsung Note 8 Hands On

I just cancelled my pre order.

I bought it unlocked on Best Buy but now the best buy website is saying that if you pre order it now, you will get a $150 discount.

I called and they said that that discount is if you sign up with one of the big carriers.

I was going to go with Verizon anyway, instead of my current carrier, Metro PCS.

I just have to find one more person to add in so I can get the Unlimited everything plan for 4 lines for 160 a month.

Then, I will reorder it.

Hopefully by thursday or friday.

I think I also heard something about eBates.

Anyone privy to the eBates deal(s)?

Thanks.
Ebates offers a bigger discount by ordering on Samsung's website. Right now on Samsung, it is 8% and BestBuy is 1%. I got 11% the other day when I ordered and will get a check for $129 plus $200 for an old Iphone bringing my phone cost down to $600. Plus I got 2 people to sign up for Ebates when they bought their phones and will get another $50 back and they will get $10.

When I was out and about this morning I got a text from FedEx saying my signature was required for delivery, my heart skipped a beat thinking they had delivered my phone early. I guess it was just a pre-delivery notice because FedEx doesn't care if you aren't home to sign for a package they leave that shit anyway

Thanks for that info!

Quick question...

Did you buy the phone as an existing customer of a carrier or are you buying an unlocked phone?

...in other words, let's say you are with verizon, did you order the phone stating that you're with verizon, or whichever your carrier is?

I hate all of the bloatware they put on these phones when you buy them for a specific carrier. :smh:

I bought the unlocked version. I'm on Sprint and will be switching to Verizon. Did not want all that extra shit on my phone.
Also the phone may have dual sim slots so I may port another number to my phone for "business".

They gave you a $500 credit for your Note 5?

Half off so close to it.

I really want that blue colorway but it would be the European model. Anyone know if getting that model would have issues with with accessing the full capability of the US networks?
