As of now, ALL links are still working. I'm working on the language packs right now. The audio companions will come separately sometime soon.

Leave some feedback. If there is a language that you want and don't see, feel free to request it. There is a list in the very first post of the language packs already contained in the thread, as well as the next language pack that will be added.

I followed the directions but it still didn't work for me. I got all the way to creating a username, etc. then right before I could start an error popped up saying something was wrong and I got deaded.

If you got to setting up a username, then that means the program should be working. What did the error message say exactly?

I just have to say that this works like a charm. Thanks again for this phenomenal drop

I would advise unplugging your network connection or disabling your wireless network so you don't accidentally try to update the software (it asks you many times). Bottom line, it does in fact work..just follow the directions in the patch folder to the letter and you should be cool.

No doubt. Good to see everything worked out for you homie.

So let me get this straight so I know how to help. You clicked 'OK' or 'Continue' and it still would not work?

Yea...clicked ok - continue then did all of the username creation etc. As soon as I was about to begin that error popped up. I'ma jus have to remove it and try again.

Yeah, I think you should just remove it and try again. Let me know what happens the second time.

All links are still up and operation. Get 'em and remember to please show some love to the thread.

I can't get past #3. When I mount the ISO image, I get a pop-up with four files: data, documentation, languages, and speech. What am I doing wrong? :dunno:

Yes I am. The one mentioned in the instructions.

Disregard the folder that's popping up. What you should do is go into 'My Computer' and find the virtual drive. Once you open that, you should see the Rosetta Stone application and you'll be able to run it from there. Holla back if you can't find it. It should be there, though, if you mounted the image using Daemon Tools.

I found it, but when I open that, it goes back to those four files.

That should not be happening at all. Honestly, I don't know what you're doing wrong right now. Have you, by any chance, tried to install it with a disc? Also, do you have any image burning software like MagicISO on your computer right now?

No I don't. I appreciate your help. I guess I will leave this one alone.

No, I really don't think you have to leave it alone. I'm sure we can figure it out. I'll stick around and help you as much as I can if you really want to get it running. Let me know. My method works because I and many others have been able to get it running.

Man, I don't know what else I can do. I need it for wifey, because they have been bugging on her job about learning Spanish. After all, this is Texas.

Rather than quitting altogether, why not just try to burn the ISO image onto a CD/DVD and installing it that way. The only reason I included the instructions that you found is because that's the way I did it and thought that people would find that it easier than burning it onto a disc. It's up to you, though. I would hate for you to quit being so close to having it, especially for free. Again, however, it's up to you.

Good look!

No doubt. Thanks for showing love to the thread . . . wish more people would.

all I want to know is if anyone can hit me with an italian rosetta stone for mac! pm me the link or something, good looking

ThaAnsa3 is right, this should not be happening. It sounds like:

1. You are opening the ISO file and looking inside it. This would happen if you simply click on it. Make sure you are mounting the ISO file so your PC sees it as an "inserted" CD. Google search on how to mount an ISO image if this is the case.

OR

2. You have the ISO file mounted, but you are clicking the virtual CD drive and looking at the folders of the language CD. There is no executable on the language CD. You have to install the main application first (from a CD or mounted ISO file). Make sure you downloaded the main application and run the setup (that's the only CD with an executable on it). Then mount a language ISO file, start Rosetta Stone, and have it add the language from the mounted language CD (or ISO file).

As ThaAnsa3 suggested, it may be easier for you to just burn the CDs. So if you want Spanish Level I, II and III, you must first install the main application of Rosetta Stone. That is one CD. Then you will have to add the three CDs for the language levels. So learning Spanish will require four CDs.

Not sure what else to say.

Thanks for the assist, BC. I tried to tell him that I thought he was doing something wrong, but he seems intent on quitting, so I'm leaving it alone for now. Thanks again for the assist.
