What do you mean by blacklisted?

I did read the earlier comments about the patch...my antivirus program said that the patch has a Trojan virus, so I'm a little concerned...
The patch is definitely clean! If you want serious results whether a file
is infected or not, you should do two things:
1. Upload the suspicious file to http://www.virustotal.com or similar
service and let this service analyze the file.
2. If you receive results that some misc. anti virus scanners judge them
as malware, you should analyze the file with "HijackThis.exe" from Trend
Micro. If are no security expert, but want to know the opinion of an
expert, you can post the logfile of the HijackThis security check in one
of the many HijackThis internet boards.
For "Rosetta Stone 3.3.5 Product Activation Patch - JDS.exe" I received
following results from:
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/d8c60661240193d6d1c2c29eb16708cc
The analisis shows that 28 out of 39 virus scanners (71.79%) judge the
patch as clean and 11 (28.21%) as malware. It is no suprise that anti
virus scanners like Symantec, Panda, F-Secure or AVG judge the file as
malware while other major anti virus scanners like NOD32, AntiVir,
BitDefender, Panda, Sophos or TrendMicro analyze as clean. It's just
a matter of the software's depth of the heuristic data!
I followed the setup process word for word, even the patch worked (so it said), but when I start up R.S, I get this message
" 2122/ Database is out of date"
and the only option it gives me is to "Exit the program".
Any Help?
This is a bug in Rosetta Stone. When you uninstall the product, it will often leave a file behind called "tracking.db3". This hidden file may not show up if you do a search in Windows for it. In XP, you can find the file under "Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Rosetta Stone".
I got rid off the entire directory since I was going to reinstall, but you could just remove the tracking.db3 file to get rid of the error. It is a bug because NO APPLICATION SHOULD EVER LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND WHEN IT IS UNINSTALLED. Period.
When I called to complain, tech support suggested that if one deactivates the product first, it may not happen, but I did not test this. One might logically conclude that an uninstall would also include deactivation, since what good is activation for a product that has been removed? There is no excuse for this sort of sloppiness.
Also, tech support said you could get such an error if you cancel out of the update process mid-stream. This is another bug. This should not happen under any circumstances (poor programming), and if they are so incompetent as to not prevent this, they should at least warn the user since the update process can take quite some time.

Does anyone have some tagolog. my wife is phillipino and her parents speak tagolog im trying to learn it.
That is actually a common error (along with a few others). Rather than rewrite a solution, here is one posted on another site:
Once deleted, Rosetta Stone should create a new copy of the file when you run it again. I've had to do this procedure on a few installs myself. If the file is hidden and you don't know how to unhide it, go here:
Hope that fixes it.
Appreciate the drop, but a quick question for the fam. How do you activate the language packs? For instance, I've done Spanish core lessons 1 & 2, but 3 is locked out for me awaiting verification.
To all who have been able to get it, good. To all still struggling with getting it up and running, don't stop asking questions. I will try to answer them and Black Cobra has been a steady guide in the thread.
I will be adding some new languages soon. They'll probably be broken up from now on because I just don't have the time recently to sit and do big updates like I did earlier.
To Black Cobra: Thanks for being a force in the thread and helping me out so much. You are much appreciated.

This thread is fantastic. Thank you for the drop big homie
No doubt. Thanks for showing love to the thread.
I don't have the language packs that were supposed to be included. I followed the instructions, but must've done something wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.
Give me some more background information. What exactly did you try to do? What error message, if any, are you getting? I need more info so I know what to suggest.
No error msg. It installed fine, I just don't have the language packs. I think I screwed up somewhere with daemon tools and the patch. Should I just un-install and try again?
