Ron Paul had a stroke during a live stream.

Lumping a cat who wanted to end the drug war, not invade Afghanistan, not invade Iraq, warned against the Patriot Act, in with those others is a reach. Those are problems this board called out that politicians now are admitting were mistakes. And those ain't just minor mistakes. All of those stances are major political malpractice OR corruption.

It's crazy how democrats adopted every one of those stances AFTER Paul. Well, they are working on the drug war shit slow as hell. It's crazy when some members on this board act like politicians doing something in 2020 when the CBC and Paul called this shit out ages ago and were told to kick rocks. :smh: This ain't reptiles running the government, hustling funds for non-existent schools, or pimping racial injustice. These are real political positions that CURRENT politicians are apologizing for. They basically using SOME of Paul's talking points from early 2000s in 2020 and people clapping like seals.

BGOL never loved Paul's diehard devotion to the constitution and his obsession with state's right. But it is funny that the weed legalization is starting with states and no AG under a democrat or republican has done anything major to help it along. :smh:

You're right and I get what you're saying, but what has either of them done for black folks? Except talk! That shyt is mad cheap with no action. You don't see either one of them talking about police invading poor communities or standing out frontlines putting action to their words. Nobody likes them cause they're all talk except when it comes to some shyt that toes the line for their party. Prison industrial complex blacks being targeted for the Super Predator laws and the Drug Wars, but prisons in their state FULL of black folks.

Yeah, but it's just sad when the talk has to catch up and THEN people cheer it. Hard to have any action when mainstream politicians just now saying shit. Paul just highlights that the people who are now apologizing knew what the fuck they were doing all the fuck along. :smh: Just thinking about this shit makes modern politics even more sickening. Thinking about Paul brings all the dirt back up.

let Drumph be next

mufucka was like...."if it has to be liquidated, we have to get rid of that......the......

Adjusted. If only it was his ass doing this shit for real.

:lol: :lol: :lol:

These are talking points now cause this shyt is happening to white people.

My grandma had a stroke at my college graduation. I was with her afterward & realized she was completely confused. Got her to the hospital ASAP.

One of my closest friends had a stroke a handful of years back. He was hospitalized for 2 months relearning how to speak. A challenge in that he's English 2nd language & also had a brain injury in the '80s. Had to practice on how to say "hello", "how are you?", etc. Speech therapist & others really helped him out. Props to them.

Did our First Aid / CPR re-cert last month. They ran these ads during the training ... good ones to pass along to family/friends if they happen to be in an emergency situation. A quick refresher of sorts.

I've dated two women in the past that had a stroke before the age of 30. I was floored to find out when they told me.

Wow - that is definitely young. Some family members, and a number of clients & coworkers have had strokes over the years. From what I recall, they were in the 42 - 75yo range or so.

I've always thought that for them to have a stroke a such a young age, that it HAD to be stress-related from the relationships that they were in.

Agreed. Also work-related (and life) stress factors, etc. I've often mentioned that to coworkers & newer staffing or practicum students, etc. People saying the workplace is "boring" - they need more "action", etc. Whereas older staffing would tell us as younger people - "no news is good news" (health care field). You want stability. People getting better. Making improvements. Not chaotic bad news or unpredictability from shift to shift.

I've worked in settings and on frontlines wherein there was more than 3x the responsibilities. Multi-tasking constantly. Less pay. Less benefits. Lesser union. So much burnout & departures from staffing. Not something I wanted to be around for long-term. The writing was on the wall. Current employer ... all the regular PT & FT staffing have been there 10 - 20 years.
