Ron Paul used to be a favorite around these parts for some folks.
I guess those are the same people on here now talking about not voting and trying sew the seeds of doubt about Biden winning the presidency.

When I saw the thread title... I was hoping that you had misspelled Rand Paul... dashed my hopes and dreams..... :hmm:
I'll admit I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't his son.
Only slightly?????????

If this shit happened to Mitch, I'd be binge watching the clip for hours. Just make sleep sounds to that cat going  "arrgh arggh arggh arrghh" Mix that shit with some rain and thunder and I'd sleep like a baby.
Mitch making that sound would be the ring tone on my phone..... for everyone

Reason why cats liked Ron Paul was he called out the drug war back when no one(at least white) really had the balls to do so. He called out the prison industrial complex before the first state legalized weed. We were fresh off Clinton when Ron called this shit. This was waaaaaaay before the cool kids were shitting on the 1994 Crime Bill and flipped their stance weed was a gateway drug.

I remember the time like it was yesterday. Before the board had its reset, Paul was on that shit and talking about it on CNN. Politicians still haven't caught up in terms of the drug war/prison industrial complex and the effects on the black community. We still in the 'maybe we should legalize weed' stag some 15-16 years later. :smh:

Policy is what it is. If someone speaks the truth, they speak the fucking truth.

I have no problem with the truth being spoken. The problem is the cult of personality.
Ran Paul even got play around here, as well as:
Dr.Umar
Tariq
Alex Jones
Anybody that says one or two things that sound great people jump on the bandwagon. e.g. Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney, etc..

Lumping a cat who wanted to end the drug war, not invade Afghanistan, not invade Iraq, warned against the Patriot Act, in with those others is a reach. Those are problems this board called out that politicians now are admitting were mistakes. And those ain't just minor mistakes. All of those stances are major political malpractice OR corruption.

It's crazy how democrats adopted every one of those stances AFTER Paul. Well, they are working on the drug war shit slow as hell. It's crazy when some members on this board act like politicians doing something in 2020 when the CBC and Paul called this shit out ages ago and were told to kick rocks. :smh: This ain't reptiles running the government, hustling funds for non-existent schools, or pimping racial injustice. These are real political positions that CURRENT politicians are apologizing for. They basically using SOME of Paul's talking points from early 2000s in 2020 and people clapping like seals.

BGOL never loved Paul's diehard devotion to the constitution and his obsession with state's right. But it is funny that the weed legalization is starting with states and no AG under a democrat or republican has done anything major to help it along. :smh:

This is my whole point. People latch onto these folks full throated for one thing but overlook or don't even know about the other things.

(((Just an illustration )))
If a person says we want to give you reparations when you come through the front door but we also want to take away your freedom when you exit the back door. Would you be for that person?

It's not a reach to compare (((former))) Ron Paul supporters with those of the other people I mentioned because they all had or still have one thing in common. Loyal cult followers.
It's one thing to say or agree with the truth/policies. It's another thing to put people up on a mantel.
