The early chapters will stun you. All about how the FBI grew out of the BIA in the early 20th century, under the pretense of specifically fighting organized crime (it actually did the opposite and was very corrupt). I did my senior thesis on this subject, basically how the FBI from the beginning was the government's primary weapon in wiping out any group that challenged the political status quo in this country, the IWW, communist party, black panthers, anti-war groups, environmentalists, even the KKK... This has always been their primary task, with cross-border crimes being secondary, contrary to the perception the public is fed...
The FBI has infiltrated, provoked, and decimated any group thought to be threatening to the absolute power monopoly. The dems and republikkkanns would be the same party in any other democratic country, no difference. Agent infiltrators would even do ill shit like join a peaceful protest group, set off a bomb independently from the group's knowledge, kill innocent people, and claim responsibility, thus justifying the FBI coming in and chopping headz. They got all the bases covered, listen to indy media and they're still doing this to groups like Families of Victims of 911, wtf?!!!! Your tax dollars at work...
Also a thorough recounting of how the FBI systematically destroyed the panthers and A.I.M., I mean, they got EVERYBODY, terrorized their families, murder, you name it, sinister cold-blooded shit... this book will have you punchin' holes in sheetrock! a must read
