I always felt Tupac murder was connected to Assata Shakur who escaped to Cuba after being involved in a shootout with police.

If we can't get to you, other people will die that you know and we won't investigate our own murders.

What is hard to explain away for anyone if they want to be honest is the fact that you have a confession from a known, high level gang member confessing to and detailing his involvement in a murder (which has no statute of limitations) to detectives in a process hat requires him to confess and be completely truthful in order to be immune from prosecution in any of these cases.

If he's proven to have lied or left out anything the deal is void and he can be prosecuted in all of those cases and his own testimony/confession can be used against him.

With that in mind why would he confess to his involvement in Tupac's murder if it wasn't true, especially after denying it for so long?

Someone would have to explain that to me if they want to maintain this is a conspiracy.

I was starting my freshman year of high school when Pac died. Had somebody told us Pac was murdered on some bloodin' and crippin', we would have immediately dismissed it with a rebuttal consisting of what I bolded in your comment.

We held Pac in a higher regard than that.

Now?

Pac was a 25 year old man who still held on to adolescent tendencies and this faulty behavior not only negatively affected his cash flow and disrupted his growth potential but also led to his eventual demise.
