Nigeria in name only. The real Nigeria in Africa would not beat a high school basketball
team. These are Americans who are taking advantage of the fact that their parents are
Nigerian, and are going to the Olympics for that reason. All of them were born in the US;
All of them went through the same system that produced James Harden, LeBron James,
Kevin Durant and Michael Jordan. All of the are American citizens. The US simply got their
asses handed to them by another American team, which inconveniently happened to wear
the green uniforms of Nigeria. There is no shame in this loss, other than in the fact that it
brings to bear questions of whether the best US team was the one wearing green.
