I went to Saint Denis, got in a boat and tried to row to the forest on the other side of the banks. I know that it was the edge of the map, but I still wanted to see what was over there.

I'll do this tonight. I have my most recent save, but I haven't made a second save spot since the second day after I bought the game.
I've got most of the cigarette cards and almost half of the dinosaur bones, along with almost all of the legendary animals (I killed the legendary bear on the second day with a freaking pistol. I just popped out of his ass from far away and by the time he got pissed enough to find me he was already popped full of holes)
I haven't done too many of the missions yet. If I lose everything I will throw this game through the wall and never play It again, lol

No I did a random encounter mission where I had to rescue a wife in the swamps.
I've used dynamite when I take them out. Is that the same spot just outside of Rhodes?Came up on the Klan, trying to listen to the dialog, and before I knew it they burned the cross and killed 3 brothers! I slaughtered them all like animals. I regret not saving the brothers though.

unless you had a cheat - the rdr1 map was off limits until the epilogues
I mean everything that you can uncover before the epilogue and the far left of the map. Of course I stayed my ads away from Blackwater and the island to the bottom right.

Naw... I’ve been locked up a few times. Cost about $150. I did a video with a max bounty of $1,500
I killed a bunch of del Lobos, one of their horses looked really good, it was jet black and standing taller than the others, game wasn't allowing me see its info - so just for the fuck of it I took the horse with me to a stable...
turns out its an American Standardbred but it had Arabian like stats
So new game tip -
pay attention to the horses of bandits, other gangs etc...
if the horse "looks good" or different from the rest of the group's horses
and the game doesn't allow you to scan / ID the horse, take it to a stable
