I have done the gold bar glitch three times. On the second time I was only allowed to grab two then it disappeared. I saved the game, loaded the game again, went back to the spot and picked up 28 more bars.
Fuck riding. A lot of bad shits can happen along the way (wolves, I heard a cougar attacking somebody as I rode past with my gold. I suggest you catch the train to Saint Denis. It cost $10 but each gold bar you have it's worth $500. In San Denin you can catch the fence who will give you money for the gold. I haven't done much with it besides Buy a faster horse, get a good saddle & Stirrups.

I upgraded my camp all the way now. I only need 30 bars. I'm not gonna keep doing that shit. I've learned my lesson fuckin with Rockstar being greedy.
Plus it's single player mode. This shit will be needed when bgol's Buffalo Soldiers saddle up ONLINE and run the West

The fence is not that far from the post office
Its definitely a perfect 10 game. I can see myself spending more time in sp than I did with GTA 5 sp. The real question is what will online be like. I can see them doing a battle royal mode. Since you can search and loot for supplies. I would love it if they can spawn in wildlife for hunting. Also they will probably have combat rolling in online despite its not being in sp.

not a 10 tho...presentation is incredible but some gameplay/game mechanics I’m just not happy w/ that have always been a personal issue for me w/ R* games
about a 9 at this point....the controls and some of the minor annoyances.... like easily kicking your wanted level up is way too easy.. . keeps it from being perfect
its not perfect... but holy shit I love this game

Since Sunday I'm trying to link up with Marston for a train robbery but I keep getting pulled into different crazy shit
-a hooker tried to kill me
-some crazy shit around Emerald farms (find the pig farm near there - only at night time)
-hidden O'Driscoll gambling den in a secret backroom of a doctor office
a bunch of other random crazy shit and NONE of the above are marked as stranger missions / side missions - I haven't done any of the question marked side missions
So far the pump action shot gun with slug ammo is the most effective weapon in medium range combat (creeping up on ODriscoll / Lemoyne Raiders/ Breichts camp sites OR needing to fight my way out of the Doctors office through ODriscolls sheriff and a posse )
Using a different horse, a unique outfit and full face mask during robberies really prevents the game from putting bounties on you (don't engrave your guns)
Also raiding in Lemoyne while the camp is still outside Valentine helps keeps you from getting bounties - because NPCs don't know / recognizes Arthur
It really forces you to learn.... and its so random!

Yeah a lot of your recommendations make sense. Its the small real life things that would help from being recognized. Just like turning off your radio when you're hiding in an alley to avoid cops in GTA 5.
Have you gotten the 4 bars? This dude to me drops the best tips fast traveling, legendary hunting etc
No I left myself with $1700 after buying what I needed and upgrading the camp. Having more than what I need takes the fun out the game. I don't feel the need to explore and checkout a camp fire in the distance.
So last night... I accidently bumped into this damn dude while walking out of the saloon... I thought nothing of it.
I go to the General Store... Accidently bump into this woman..
And While I'm trying to shop.. This same dude from the Saloon Walks into the Store trying to fucking Fight me..
He throws the first punch ... I knock his ass out
and then I get hit with a Wanted notice...
Man this game is fucking crazy

This should have been the game that Microsoft used to show the power of the One X.
Like I've never seen anything like this.
This game shows me..
that the One X should be able to handle fucking Star Citizen with no problems..
If I was Microsoft.. I'd fucking open up the wallet and make it happen.
Check my earlier comments to find out how to get to the fence. Taking the train is much easier and quicker than riding there on a horse

Another Random Tip >> Remember to “Save” your Game Manually. ALOT.
(From the Pause Menu >> Go to ‘Story’ >> ‘Save Game’)
There is an ‘autosave’ feature that works behind the scenes... but you can very easily spend a very long time running missions, or hunting wild animals, or catching bounties, or doing whatever... and one simple mistake can kill you... and you end up losing the last hour of gameplay progression / or cash / or items.
Not 100% sure about this... but I think the big difference is that the ‘AutoSave’ feature tends to save the game at the nearest ‘checkpoint’ (like at your Base Camp, or wherever you are as soon as you complete a mission) whereas, a ‘Manual Save’ will Save your EXACT location on the Map (which might save you some ‘travel time’ between missions, especially if you didn’t ‘save’ your progress for awhile & had to respawn from an AutoSave checkpoint that might be far away.)
I would add that it's important to have multiple fucking saves....
Like I purchased a bigger horse because I wanted to have no problems carrying the grizzly back..
Endup taking on a mission.. which required a fast horse ...
I could cast dude for shit and when the Mission failed ... I was at a part of the map that didn't have anything of interest.. and was more then a days ride from camp.
So I said fuck it... and booted up the save that I had right before I bought the wrong horse..
Bought my new racer that I call "Mary Jane" and I haven't looked back.
I got this big ass bear pelt and I don't know what to do with it. I almost lost it twice. On two occasions when I loaded the game (doing the gold duplication glitch) it wasn't on the back of my horse. When I reloaded the save it was there.
When I found the trapper, I thought I could buy a train ticket, but I couldn't buy the train ticket with the bear Pelt so now I have to ride through all kind of dangerous country hoping I don't get jacked or killed
ya someone here suggested I do the same...makes sense...I’ll use a second slot for it in case autosave fucks up my shit
