Reason #44587 Why I Could Never Be a Teacher.

1. they allowed her to have an audience. behavior students feed off their peers, stop trying to be rational with her and get her out the room asap
2. he has to be the dominant figure in his classroom. my students would never laugh because theyd fear the repercussions once she left the room
3. when she swings, of course youre not allowed to hit back, but in nys i can restrain her and thats going to be in the most painful way possible

What you stated is very reasonable. However, it doesn't matter how "lazy" the teacher may seem, when a student crosses the line and puts their hands on a teacher, those actions have consequences and unfortunately this is a lesson she needs to learn.

Yes I agree, but what I was speaking on would have came long before it would have ever even reached that point. She was in the middle of a tantrum and instead of de-escalating and trying to resolve the problem he met her with the same energy telling her to get out his classroom. Two wrongs don't make a right, if I was in the classroom and a student needs to be removed I don't confront or go tit for tat with a student. I'll either discreetly call a dean or I'll state that I'm calling a dean. I'm an adult, they are kids, I'm not getting into no banter with anyone's child and I will definitely maintain control of my classroom.

But one of my old students caught a case last year and is probably in jail for life. He was a pro skateboarder and ended up killing his friend. His name is Terry Kennedy. He did good for himself, was a regular on jackass, had a BET show, his own clothing line, but he just had a wild childhood and he really needed to stay on his meds.

:roflmao3:  :roflmao:

This is me all day...act a fool and catch an elbow on the court.

Mf go up for a lay up I’m thinking they coming across the middle and I’m reliving Sean Taylor. I’m laying yo ass all the way out son! Then as they lay there gasping for wind talking about this basketball man I’m extending a hand to em to help em up and say you a’ight son? You good? :hmm:

Yep, that's him. He was doing so good but he really needed to take his medication. I would try to be a positive influence on him, go to his basketball games and stuff but he was like a magnet for trouble.

Uh….man were they gay? I ask because what was he doing hanging with a 23 year old and they took some suspect looking pics. The 23 year definitely looks like Jussie Smollett or whatever his name is. Still, I’m sorry to hear that. You get paid for your hobbies and that ain’t enough?

I don't think he was gay, in fact he was married with 2 young kids. I ran into his wife last year and she said she would tell him to call me but he didn't reach out. I think he also dated Rev Run's daughter. I didn't see the pictures but I remember they said he just snapped and started beating the dude up. He had episodes like that when he was cool then instantly he would go off. I started learning when he was about to trip because he would have this dead look in his eyes.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. Brother could have had a good existence doing what he loved. Few people get that in life.

Our schools are horrible!!!!!

I can't say what's wrong with the young one but I don't think it's all intentional behavioral, she sounds to be having a hypo glycemic episode or something like that, she is having some sort of psych and metabolic issue...imo

...and of course no one gives a fuck cause they only want to be entertained watching her act out, or in the wack ass teachers case justified in his inability to properly educate a room full of basically children interim young adults.

Were they much better though during our era? We just didn't have camera phones to document

I am so glad social media wasn't around when I worked in schools. I was an aide and worked with SED kids which stands for severely emotionally disturbed. My kids would try that shit but I would fuck them up on the low, like play dodge ball and fire they asses up or play basketball and foul the shit out of them. Funny thing is those kids ended up loving me because they knew I would talk just as crazy as them and didn't fall for their antics. But one of my old students caught a case last year and is probably in jail for life. He was a pro skateboarder and ended up killing his friend. His name is Terry Kennedy. Oh shit yeah dude was popular cause he's a black skate boarder....a good one at that

Tony Hawke made millions off of skateboarding. I used to love it. Until I flipped on mines and almost broke my neck. Career ended that day. I never got back on a board. Man life ain’t fair :smh:

Maybe the friend was in fact gay and he said something to Terry which he misinterpreted as coming on to him...

I'm sorry but I this is why we need good teachers. Teaching is not an easy profession!
During my day, many of my teachers were less mature than I was. How does a teen suppose to deal with that? And now it's even worse!
I'm not pointing any fingers, I'm just trying to understand how to make it better!
We need better fucking parents. It's not the responsibility of the teacher to discipline and correct these spoiled ass kids.

Muthafuckas come to school, don't know abc's, how to spell there name, how to count to 100, basic words etc. They learn nothing at home and the teacher is expected to get them going. It's fucked up.

Once they took away ass whooping at school, it was a wrap. I clearly remember some kids getting whooped by momma on the playground for fucking up, and a ghetto mom hitting the principle for disciplining her terrible ass daughter.

Man these kids today are retarded. The fuck was the teacher supposed to do? U sound stupid...so do the rest of you saying its his fault. Fuck that kids parents.

Aye man!
I saw this shit.
The sad truth is,
these kids ONLY do this when they are in class.
When they have their friends laughing,
carrying-on, cackling.
When they are by themselves and no one to show out to.
They are quiet.
And that's with ALL of these kids, ALL races.
It's "cool" for them to act out.

By the end of the school year,
she'll be his best friend.
I have been there.

But during the coronavirus?
Nah, she can have ALL that!

If the student won't leave evacuate the classroom. She was doing that because she had an audience.

Was just about to say this. All that shrieking, cheering spectating just spiked her adrenaline more and more. Take away the audience and leave her in the room with the authority figures and you this gets diffused quickly.

Back in HS I took Sports Leadership as an elective for 2 years. Essentially for 10 months out of the year, you were a student teacher in gym class as an
11th and 12th grader teaching the 8th and 9th graders. Anywhere from 30 - 60 kids per class. It was a new school to me too, having transferred there from junior high and often the real teachers would be hands off & let you teach the whole shit on your own. Even for sports you were not too familiar with, lol. Each sport would get approximately 1 month of in class focus. Some of the kids were assholes. Others were doing their best to be your favorites, lol. One of the saving graces is that a number of the students knew my younger brother from school and league sports. He went to a school about 10 - 12 mins away. They were the same age and played on the same teams or against him. So they jokingly noted they would NOT make my life a living hell out of respect :roflmao3: . And I was paired with a few other student teachers who only showed up 70% of the time, so it was a bit more stressful. Overall a good experience though - I often had my own gym class afterward (same grade) - so I got plenty of exercise those years with all that, and playing in team and league sports in my own time, and it helped boost the GPA when other classes' grades were struggling. Took some Sports Science & Psychology of Sport courses in college as well. Had thought about going into kinesiology at one point.

Yup. All dat bullshit ends right there.

That was just grade school...he was not prepared to teach at any public school..Prolly a better chance at a charter/montessori/private school.

This is the result of having white rule over black education. You can’t paddle these kids at all now. She just needs a paddling on her ass. Cac took discipline out long ago and now you can’t teach your own history but can talk about trannies. When does it stop? And we wonder why these kids act this way.
It stops when we have had enough. We ain't had enough yet. Somebody is going to start speaking up. Then shit will start changing. Frankly, a lot of us will start leaving this country, because over half of us are ready to go. We ain't saying it, but we are feeling it. Some of us are saying it, and they are leaving. The rest of us will catch on soon. A lot of us ain't leaving because we don't have the money to go. But that shit is about to change.

When we realize we are descendants of prisoners of war and we are not fucking slaves, then all of this shit will change. First, we don't have to be taught by our slavemaster, we can start teaching ourselves and second we don't have to follow their laws. We should be a first nation too, just like the Native people here. We can create our general laws. If not that, then leave this bitch. I prefer leaving this mofo. Third, if we stay, pool our money to create jobs and our own economy. We have 1.6 trillion dollars of spending money, and if we put our monies together, we would run this bitch. First, we have to remember we are a collective and we are not separate. Then we must practice the golden rule, do unto others as you want them to do unto you. Simple shit. It can happen.

And when they show this video to her parents, they'll say; "My daughter is a good girl. She's never been violent before. Ya'll must've provoked her...". :smh:

the crazy thing is this probably is very true in many situations
But school pressure kinda force some good kids to loose it at times

Parents can only do so much, the economy does not help. I have had many students who only seen their parents in the morning before leaving out from school because the parent has to work long shifts and doesn't get home until very late. A lot of single parent households deal with this issue, some parents working two jobs because they have multiple kids and now not only does the teenager have to deal with the stresses of high school they also have to play parent to their siblings because mom is at work. Had one student, God rest her soul, that went mental due to the stresses. She came in a freshman, happy, full of life, wanting to play basketball. She couldn't do anything she dreamed because she had the responsibility of taking care of her younger brother, picking him up from school, watching him, fixing food, and helping with homework until mom came home late at night. It hit it's boiling point in junior year when she started acting out and doing psychotic things, was heavily depressed and mom ended up admitting her. When she came out she wasn't the same. Saw videos of ppl filming and making fun of her in a store, she was talking a bunch of gibberish. I felt bad for her. Then I guess she got sane and ended up with her father at some point, had a daughter, then she was murdered a few years ago in her father's building staircase after an argument, not sure if she knew the guy or not.

But yea, point of the story is.. parents can only do so much when they're under the financial stress of trying to keep a roof over their heads and underpaid.

If you can't afford or properly raise children, don't have them. Don't act like we weren't in poverty 50 years ago. It's a poverty of the spirit and mind that has these kids fucked up. Back in the day if you went to a black persons house that was below the poverty line, the house was immaculate and the children were well behaved. Hand me dows were kept clean and the family spent money on important shit.

Any piece of shit child filming this bullshit on a IPhone is the problem along with their parents. This is systemic within our community and both the mothers and fathers are to blame. Break the fucking cycle and quit making excuses.

I agree, but here we are and the children are left to suffer. Life also doesn't go how we plan it, sometimes relationships take a turn for the worse after a child is born and there still ends up being a single parent situation. I don't know what actionable answer is to the problem that we can really expect to see happening but I definitely feel for the kids that have to live in means outside of their control. Kids have a lot of stress these days.
