Hip Hop Police was a hit, but he never followed it up...

F.T (Fuc that) Eminem was about to sign him, but the deal never went thru.....cat had real skills...............

Pretty Ugly(kid was nice, other than a Grand theft auto soundtrack he never had much else, think he had a song wit 50 cent before 50 blew up........................

I love Nas, top ten greatest rappers of all time. fuck ya'll faggots niggas. The only ones who hate on Nas are them fake ass niggas. Real recognize real....
Illmatic, It was written, Stillmatic, Godson, Streets Disciple are fucking hip hop classics fuck ya'll niggas man............:smh:

You must be fucking Nas. You'll niggas qiuck to defend niggas who nuts you'll are all over. With the talent we all know Nas possesses, he still puts out bullshit albums and that's why we criticize him.

neither of them had enough talent bruh. monch was so fuckin overrated and royce never used his lyrical ability to the fullest. can you coment on my list?

Pharoahe Monch overrated?:smh::angry: Explain yourself before I verbally castigate you! Pharaohe is lyrically better than 99 percent of the industry.:angry::angry:

Anyway, My list is:

Pharoahe Monch
Common -say what you want but he has 1 barely platinum album out of 7.
Talib Kweli
Rass Kass
Chino XL
3X Krazy
Mos Def
Joe Budden- Cats sleep on him lyrically, pump it up was for the commercial audience and isn't even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his skills.
Lil' Brother
Consequence
The Roots - all of their money comes from touring cause their albums don't sell.
Lupe Fiasco
Mad Lib
Wordsworth
Jane Doe
Jean Grae
Bahamadia
to name a few ...

Bubba Sparxxx?

I added Bubba, cause the dude actually can write and freestyle, he comes off as corny sometimes, but that is because he is generally keeping it non-violent. I can't hate him for that...

I would also like to c/s for Killer Mike, SL Jones (still new), Kamikaze, K-Rino, and Chamilionaire.....

All kats who can both freestyle and write.......

With the exception of K-Rino and Cham, I have had the others on one of my shows and I've heard them rip it in person...

Ab Liva (From Major Figgas, dude is VERY underrated)
AZ
Styles P
M.O.P.
Cannibus
Ghostface Killah (he has some shine, but dude deserve more than what he gets)
Sauce Money/Jaz-O (Jay-Z's mentors)
Kardinal Offishal
Killer Mike
Jean Grae
Lady Luck (who battled Remy Ma)
Ill and Al Skratch
Hieroglyphics
Murs

Before I can even give my 2 cents you gotta look at why people never reach there full potential and mostly it's politics and the poweres that be just don't want certain music out period I mean kanye just went platinum off his last joint so that proves there is a market for the music he dose and how is his music that much diffrent from commons or little brother some people are on that level of great success but we don't hear about it Look at rappalot they barely have a artist on tv and they've been around damn near 20 year's don't let tv fool you into beleving that dudesaint suceessful and aint eating out here

I Almost Forgot About Killer Mike, Talk About A Rapper Sheeit. Whole World Should've Made Him A Bigger Star, That's A Huge Cameo On Outkast's Shit. Oh Well

I added Bubba, cause the dude actually can write and freestyle, he comes off as corny sometimes, but that is because he is generally keeping it non-violent. I can't hate him for that...

He's done quite well. 3 successful albums and several hit singles.

Me And You Don't Always Agree, But Co-sign. And Fuckin' Wit Jay Wasn't Smart Either, You See Where That Got Canibus:smh:.

Joey and Canibus are no comparison at all...Stack Bundles and Big L were on their way until niggas killed them. But Joe Budden is way too nice to be denied, mood musik 3 is a classic

one of my top 5 rappers, Halfamil R.I.P. Came up under AZ, Mega, Nas and Foxy in The Firm. They broke up and he was kinda left on his own. From BK but got killed a couple years ago in Albany PJs....

His first album had then-no names like Just Blaze, the Neptunes, etc, producing it, but it was kinda a let down (cuz it wasn't a solid classic), 2nd album unquestionably a classic imho. I seriously knock this more than some masterpiece albums, at one time I had this in the disc changer with Realness, Stillmatic, 9 Lives, Ready to Die and Makaveli.

Artist: Half-A-Mill f/ Quintay Soul
Album: Da Hustle Don't Stop
Song: Go On

[Intro: Half-A-Mill]
uh yea, yo, I dedicate this one
to all my dogs and all my chicks that came
up in the struggle, ya'nahmean?
In the hood, in the ghetto, poverty, nahmean?
word!, broken homes, no moms, no pops
abusive step-parents, nahmean?, foster parents, go on

**Quintay Soul singing in the background througout the whole song**
**Go On**

[Verse 1]
I remember my younger years, lil snotty nose nigga
Peasy head, wet behind the ears
My grandma played Stevie Wonder and drunk Colt 45 beers
Cussed my moms out cuz she was neva there
Grandma said all she did was run the streets
Shootin up drugs, what about her two sons that had to eat
What about my father?, he aint' wanna be bothered
Too busy 'noddin offa heroin, use to take me up to Yonkers
And stick niggaz up while I was wit 'em
Then come back to Harlem, buyin grams of, boy
He was sniffin, leanin back his nose drippin
One day he was so high -- he forgot I was wit 'em
I was 5 when he left me in the streets
On a Hunnid Fortyfifth and Lennox
Imagine that, he was weak, but his son was stronger
I took the A-train to Brooklyn
First thing a lil nigga did was call Grandma
And told her what happened, she was mad as hell
Said "when she saw that motherfucker she was gonna stab 'em"
If it wasn't for Grandma Duke where would I be at?
Another dead kid in the alley eaten by street rats
Grandma was so strong told me to be stronger
Said "don't slow down for nuttin or no one just move on son
you're livin in a world of wrong son
One day you'll be older and understand but for now just Go On son"

[Chorus: Half-A-Mill] **repeat 2X**
Go On -- live your life, follow your dreams
One day your gonna see the light
Go On -- young man follow your plans
Put this whole wide world in your palm of your hands

[Verse 2]
I'm from a broken home, everybody was broke at home
I've been to projects, black and white tv's, no phones
We use hangers for antennas, been through cold ass winters
Kool-Aid and cheese sandwiches for dinner, and school days was iller
I had one shoe lace in my Playboys I got off Medicaid for realer
While other kids played wit toys, I was tryna play to get paid
to change the life of this lil boy
Growin up in hard times became a part of my mind
I was tryn to see money, I was partially blind
But at times I became focused, from adolescence to teen
Cursed from birth, now I'm blessed wit cream
Hustler gettin stressed by fiends
They say my boy stronger then Meth
Dunn I play the corner wit tec's
Nobody gave it to me, I had to take my respect
Shootup a couple of doors, rob a couple of stores
Keep five bundles in my draws
I'm tryin to sling mine, how you gonna sling yours
You goin to war, for rich or for poor
Gats spit for bricks of that raw, quick on the draw
So long you hittin the floor, I'mma Go On

[Chorus: Half-A-Mill] **repeat 2X**

[Verse 3]
The streets is callin a nigga
They tried to drop the ball on a nigga
Seems like this world is too small for a nigga
Came from a shortage of figures
Now every thought is of figures
Step in my shoes you'd prolly walk a bit quicker
I'm from quartz of malt liquor
Street corners thats sicker
Basketball courts, ghetto sports figures
Dogs that'll stick ya, broads that'll trick ya
This world is trife, its life I see it all through the pictures
All through the scriptures
Bloods n crips-s, thug love hugs and kisses
In a instant you'll get mugged for riches
Tucked in the ditches
layed in the dirt mud in your britches
Sumthin religious, sumthin suspicious, hundreds of stitches
Its a cold world, you stuck in the blizzard?
Went from Chuckkas to Lizard
Gators to exquisites, major digits
Go On -- son handle your business
Scramble and flippit life is a gamble
I got my hand on my winners, I'm goin on

[Chorus: Half-A-Mill] **repeat 4X**

This song obviously wasn't his most lyrical (& def. not his best) but just the way he spit and the stuff he was saying it sticks wit me.
