Ray Rice video punching then-fiancee emerges

Folks are being manipulated left and right by the media.

Who is cheering for Ray Rice as a hero?

(crickets)

He hit his fiancee and she was knockout as a result of his actions.

He made his bed so he got to sleep in it.

I am bothered by the rush to get vengeance and more vengeance heaped on Ray Rice.

Is Chris Brown and Ray Rice the only men putting hands on women? They certainly are the faces of domestic violence regardless of no prior histories of domestic violence.

I am not going to join in the bullshit.

Listen.

I didn't detect any fear or intimidation on the part of his fiances when she casually strolled by Ray and smacked him in the face in public.

That ain't some shit that a battered and broken woman does.
That's some disrespectful, carefree, bullying shit.

That behavior may have been the straw that broke the Raven's back resulting in Ray smacking the shit our of her.

I ain't making excuses. I am just not going to join the tar and feather campaign.

She apologized for a reason.
She smacked him for a reason.
She married him for a reason.

He chin checked her for a reason.

Fuck this media assassination.

The media doesn't care about Janay. They didn't seek her permission to show her being victimized.

The media is exploiting her pain and embarrassment for viewership.

The media is using this fucked up situation to shape public opinion about black people and domestic violence.

Like I said earlier,I find it funny that the tape got released when the first week of the season starts, especially when the story was dying down and when the Atlanta Hawks owner is caught with his racism...

This incident happened all the way back in February and now 7 months later you release the tape.....With that said Ray Rice was wrong and deserve what he got.

Here is ur laugh u were seeking.. Ha...now put me on mute...because I would rather not interact witb a child..or a grown man that acts like a child...I'm stating facts and u got jokes...a black man with no history of getting in trouble with the law... Lost his job today for an incident between him and his wife...but Jim irsay drives around town drunk..putting unknown people lives at risk....got a dopeboy amount of pills..my point is public outcry should not determine whether u lose ur job or not....why was this not a six game suspension...secondly why is the black man the one they have to make the example with...I'm a buc fan 4 life..

This guy knock his fiance out! He knock her out cold, and you make a comment about Solange trying to fight Jay Z? Again he knocked her out and dragged her like a rag doll out of the elevator. I hope you're not comparing the two incidents. It took another woman to assist her after all the men just stood there and watch. Remember this... Your private matter isn't private anymore when you knock your fiance' out in a public elevator.

I wish they would harp harder on this as they should with the Ferguson case.

I think Goodell should be finished. I actually hope he is. In investigating the matter originally they HAD to get all available footage to investigate. Therefore, it is unbelievable that Goodell & Co. didn't see the footage before today. I got my popcorn hoping for some fireworks....assuming TMZ's new claim is true, there's no way the NFL can spin this. Don't see how Goodell keeps his job from this :smh:

You put the I in Idiot

Ok, so the prez gives a press release on Ray Rice the day the video drops, but he waits days to speak on Ferguson :smh::smh::smh:

Yeah, when I heard that...that's why I said the other day I'm leaning more towards Tavis and Dr West side regarding O these days

I often wonder if a white president would have to address issues like this, and the incident with Henry Louis Gates that happened earlier in his presidency?

Not making excuses, but the president did start an initiative on domestic violence a couple of years ago...he had a commercial where several male celebs spoke out against violence (only one I remember was Jeremy Lin, but there were others)...

...he should have spoken about Ferguson sooner, but I understand why...not all the facts were clear (certainly less than they are now, of course). In the Rice case, the facts are really clear now, and it's politically advantageous for Obama to speak on it.

What type of evidence you need when an unarmed 17 year old got executed by a cop....:lol::lol::smh:

Some people don't care about facts. Real or imaginary, any excuse to shit on the President is a good one.

You know there are options other than knocking out a woman if she's rushing like that...there's the Evasion Technique, The Defensive Hug, Wrist Control Grab, Full Nelson, Half Nelson, Headlock, Headlock with Noogie, Sweeping Figure Four Leg Lock, Holding Stiff Arm with Tiger Claw Grip...etc...

Basically, you don't need to coldcock a chick like that to restrain her.

This is not the issue.

Neither is . . .

Eating in moderation.
Get regular exercise.
Get proper rest.
No unprotected sex.
Keep your hands to yourself.
Look both ways before you cross the road.

We are know the obvious shit. At least will have heard it all before.

Still, folks do what they aren't supposed to do.

Anger management requires training.
Training must be implemented.

Training is more than stating, "Never put your hands on a woman, period."

Without training . . .

Young males will become older males with no emotional tools to deal with their aggression.

Young females will become older females with no emotional tools to deal with their aggression.

We will have yet another Chris Brown and Rihanna or Ray and Jaynay.

We will cue up the name calling and cheer for the punishment and nothing will change.

I agree with this, but he reacted. He seen her bout to run up and just swung. We also have to remember they had been drinking as well. And you know that alcohol doesn't help you make great decisions. We are asking an at the least tipsy angry ass dude to think clearly. We still don't know the full story of what sparked this incident. He was wrong and should be punished. But we may be giving her too much of the benefit of the doubt.

Actually, if this bitch had taken Stephen A's advice, this incident might not have occurred. She swung out on dude first. OF COURSE, him swinging on her was a fag move for which there is NO defense, but the point is that her becoming violent with him was what precipitated his fag move. Any man who decks a bitch like that probably already had it in him to deck a bitch, whether she hit him first or not, but Stephen A was basically saying women should be cognoscente of how they roll and who they roll with, to avoid avoidable conflict.

EXACTLY!!

And for the bitch that call herself ratting on Smith online - this looks like confirmation. Shes another woman trying to validate her beliefs with moral bullshit. Niggas fight. White, black, women and men. They dont care about losing their shit in public. She didnt give a shit and neither did he. That is exactly what happened. We can all blame Rice for being a pussy and Chris Browning his woman but at the same time, we know this bitch was stupid because she KNEW what he would do back to her.

Shit, I was in a relationship with a crazy ass woman years ago as a kid - and I KNEW - EVERY SINGLE ARGUMENT would lead to a hit or a grab or a kick from her ass and as fine as she was and as good as the pussy was and no matter how much she cried and said she loved me - I had to END that shit before I almost hurt her ass. Had to put the bitch in a sleeper hold one time at a motel to stop her from fighting. After two years, it was done.

Don't hit people who are bigger and stronger than you then try to play victim

Yes. This the real world. Loved ones kill each other every day in this country. Women are beat, raped or murdered all the time just because... Being some lil football niggas main bitch don't change the rules.

He didn't knock her out intentionally. This was a Jake Shuttlersworth...He knocked her back and she hit her head on the railing.

2 games or 10 games he is lucky that his bad decision and her bad behavior didn't result in serious injury or death.

CO SIGN.

STILL WRONG BUT... I GET YOUR MEANING.

oNE

Rice spit at her, and then swiped at her (he was putting hands in her in some type of way but it's hard to tell with that choppy footage) before she run on him. Rice pretty much initiated all contact bruh.

The shit that killed it was how he casually strolled off the elevator. Like no compassion or concern. Her hitting her head was an accident clearly. But it was never that "oh shit is she ok" moment

Ray fucked up. He'll pay for this for the rest of his life.

What I find interesting is how Ray Rice is (rightly) condemned and Chris Brown has gotten (relatively) off for his own domestic abuse incident. Yeah, a vocal group of women have (and always will) crucified CB, but the fact that his song Loyal is at the top of the charts shows that people have moved on or are willing to forget/forgive in exchange for a hit record. Rihanna's injuries were way more severe, but the lack of video evidence of the altercation, combined with the pervasive notion that Rihanna struck Brown first in a way justified the whole thing to some extent has allowed Brown to be able to move on, whereas Ray Rice will never be able to rehabilitate his career after this.

Just thinking aloud.

What happened before they were in view of a camera? Did she initiate prior to them being filmed or in view of a camera. I find it difficult to believe that he would spit on her - which is disrespectful regardless of the situation- for no reason.

Brody Logan @BrodyLogan
Harvey Levin from @TMZ told @TonyPerkinsFOX5 they will release news tomorrow that the NFL knew about the Ray Rice video & turned a blind eye

Damn O, day by day you are making Tavis and West prophets. Gotta kick another Black man down as quickly as possible.

Didn't this shit happen in February? Rice could be a changed man now. I doubt he laid hands on her since this incident. Y'all getting riled up over this damn vid when y'all already knew he laid hands on her.

Judging from the video I don't think there was too much going on beforehand to warrant his actions. I just think that liquor started talking to Ray. She seemed to be semi calm until Ray put his hands back on her or spit on her a 2nd time. That little swat she did at the beginning wasn't more than a love tap and she just kept it moving. I think Ray just might've been in a bad mood off some bad liquor and got in his emotions. Basically, he simply just fuct up.

I actually didn't at first. I thought he just shoved her drunk ass and maybe she hit her head and she drug it out. I actually was giving Ray a lot of benefit of the doubt. Hell, originally I thought she was just pass out drunk to be honest. A few people thought that might have been the case at first. But after seeing this video it looks to be all on him. So no, I didn't know shit until this video because seeing is believing for me.

there's NO reason to "chin check" any woman short of saving your life from bodily harm as she has a weapon.

Do you really want your Job mixed that far into your Private life?
That is a Very slippery slope ! !

come on now. new evidence basically and a clear case of incompetence or cover up

Funny how these cacs want to talk about the judicial system failing now that a black man seemingly escapes an appropriate punishment.

Like I stated before, imho, hitting a female is justifiable more times than folks think, but in this case I think Ray Rice went overboard.

But still...the fact that the White House is releasing a statement on this shit....folks all on TV talking with so much emotions, speaking as if they wish Ray Rice would die for his actions....the shit is getting ridiculous. The fact that a high profiled Black athlete is on tape hitting a WOman is one reason why its such a big issue....but imho ....theres a lot more to this than Ray Rice hitting a Woman.

Imho....this dudes career is over. The dogs that Mike Vick abused cant speak their minds after the fact...but you have millions of bitter bitches w/ black eyes that are about to jump on the "Ray Rice is the devil" bandwagon.

Theyre about to make an example out of him in the worst way.
Shit is kinda fucked up cause dude had a clean image before all this bs.
But now one mistake may have ruined his life.

I see a lot of you niggas getting overly emotional for the female...without asking questions. I assume yall saw your mothers get beat or something. but what im wondering is if his girl wil stick by his side now that his money is about to get low. Cause truth is shes in no way innocent in the situation. hitting him multiple times before she got hit once.

Would Anyone HERE,, Care So Much if this was a White man ?
Interesting so many Black men want to see a Black Man in trouble

I do Not care if I was standing 3 feet away, I saw Nothing !
She slipped & Fell is the most I would say ! ! I saw Nothing else
I would be like the Rodney King Jury, I saw nothing wrong,
'Cause why would I ever do Anything to put a Black man in a white mans Prison

This is a matter between Husband & Wife, If she says nothing who are you to get involved
I would never want any Black mans source of money, messed up over something private.
