~~~Randy Moss "Retires"~~~
Re: Randy Moss Retires
It's amazing that dude is an underachiever and still considered Top 3 WR of all-time.
Far from an underachiever. Just a typical wide receiver "diva," with an aloof and immature attitude at various times during his run. Went off the reservation one time too many (at the very worst time), and is finally paying the price.
Re: Randy Moss Retires
He obviously went about it the wrong way but i dont blame him for wanting an extension considering what he did for the team. Those midget wideouts didnt work out so well for them in the postseason either.
That's really funny, considering the Pats gave him a HUGE break by trading for him when he was on the outs with Oakland, and THEN signed him to a GENEROUS 3-year deal after his first season. Dude got PAID for what he did. They didn't owe him anything more than what they gave him. And as it turns out, they were totally RIGHT in judging that his shelf life had run out.
The Pats were better without him. Involved the whole field and a slew of excellent receivers, without worrying about making just one guy (with diminishing skills) happy.
Had the potential to be the greatest receiver of all time.
Sports Blunt couldn't contain his excitement and created a thread for one of his favorite targets.
I guess when OchoCinco and Vick retire, you'll make threads for them too, huh?
Target??? The player I think is the 2nd best receiver ever?
Why don't you stop worrying about me so much and try to come up with an original thought of your own on the subject.
These guys don't need SAVING from a scrub like you. Their careers and lives can speak for thmselves. :smh:
It's not that nobody wanted him. I was just watching NFL Network, they said he had about 3 or so options but decided to just retire.
That magical year with moss and brady was insane
man did they bring out the best in eachother
its crazy how a qb can make or break a star receiver
dude had a good chaotic run
the hall is waiting
I stilll want my dream of Moss and Vick.....2 of the best athletes to play any sports in 21st century.
His retirement may be final,we don't know. So many other former pros have 'retired'only to 'unretire'. However, whatever happens, Randy will go down as one of the BEST....definitely TOP-5.
Most DB's are happy...but respectfully so:lol::lol::lol::lol:..to see him go. They won't be "Mossed" anymore!
Plus, I understand that he was a solid 'clubhouse'mate. Randy would say that his time was spent with the Patriots.
Just saw it on the ESPiN ticker. One of the all time greats, in my opinion :yes:
Top 3 receiver of all time, but GOAT underachiever.
Dude obviously didnt want to sign to a losing team like T.O. has been doing and I doubt he is in T.O. type of shape
He played himself last season shutting it down the way he did
Nevertheless his Hall of Fame trip has been secured for some time, first ballot
:yes::yes::yes:
Maybe you should go to message board "rehab" and learn how to control your impulses. It's not like YOU'RE anything special to me, so I can easily bypass all your bullshit or choose to respond to it as I see fit. It's not that complicated a process (for actual adults). :rolleyes:
@9:05 in the 1st vid, speed was unbelievable. I really forgot how blazing it was because it is usually so effortless. I have only seen one other player make it look like this visually, and that is Michael Vick.
In my humble opinion, after watching this many highlights, do the plays off (outside of teaching Pop Warner kids showmanship) really matter with a talent this great?:confused: I know as a owner, GM or coach, I can put up with a few plays off if this what happens when he is on.:lol:
