Surgery went well today, but she is scheduled for another one tomorrow. I'm actually going to leave work pretty soon and catch up with a couple cousins at the hospital (her mother and another cousin) to see how things are going. My computer is down (the hard drive died Thanksgiving morning), but I am hoping to get it back either today or tomorrow. If you don't hear from me again today it's probably because I didn't get it back and I couldn't get online. If that's the case, I'll holla with any information I have tomorrow...

CT I hope that your cousin comes out of this ok. My prayers are with her...I know someone who went blind cause of pregnancy; once she had the baby her sight came back. I hope once that pressure is relieved from the removal of the tumor that her sight will return...it should, but Godspeed.

Thanks for the well wishes. I went to the hospital last night and had the chance to hang out for a while. I never saw my little cousin (a second cousin of mine), but her mother and my other cousin said she was in good spirits. They were telling me that although they hadn't removed the tumor yet, they were draining it and would make a decision about what to do next. They also said that as a result of that her vision is coming back. That's very encouraging to hear. This morning I got a text saying the surgery that they thought would happen today has been pushed back to Monday. So, I guess we'll have to wait and see what the deal is between now and then. Hopefully things will continue to improve and this will have a happy ending...





...On another note, as they say, when it rains it pours. There is now a second issue that is heavy on my mind today. This also involves a loved one, but that's about all I will say. Like my cousin's health, I hope this situation works itself out and we can move on better and stronger than ever. Life is a daily test people, it beats you down at times, but what doesn't kill you will make you stronger (if you allow it to). That being said I still think a few more of my hairs have turned gray, and I might also need a drink or two later......Anyway, my prayer is that both of these things will pass and everyone involved will be able to move on with our lives (together) and our love...

Tribe is re-releasing their first album. It will be all the same songs but since Phife played a small role in the first album he will be recording new verses for the album. I will be looking forward to this supposed to be released early next year.




no i dont have any links or anything heard Phife on a radio interview yesterday talking about it. he has a solo album coming out soon too. I hope this is a first step to Tribe getting back together.

I got my computer back!!!



Now, I have to go back and save a bunch of shit..... Question for you all though. I connected my iPod to the computer and I got a warning saying it (the iPod) was synced to another iTunes library and that it can only be synced to one at a time. It said I could erase and sync it to the new library on this drive. Is that saying what I think it is? Is it telling me that if I do that, I'll lose EVERYTHING on there and have to start out fresh once it's synced to this new one? Also, I've got the external drive hooked up and Time Machine is up and running too...On another note, my cousin is doing OK, but she'll have to stay in the hospital until next week. There was supposed to be a surgical procedure yesterday, but they re-scheduled it for Monday (if need be). Hopefully she will continue to improve and she'll be back to normal some time in the near future...

CT, you need to run a program that takes all the music off your ipod and puts it onto your new comp...

that is the easiest way I've found .. unless you k now some other way to get your music stash to your new iTunes??

Did you loose your music library when your computer crashed? Since you had a new hardrive put in you lost your itunes folders so as long as you have the music you should be good to erase. You could just set it to manual management and won't have to worry about anything. If you had play list on your old comp you will have to make them over, but as long as you didnt loose any of hte music files you will be ok. well like cleo said you have to get a program that will turn the ipod into a hardrive. I don't know any good ones off the top of my head. You may want to make a thread on the main board. After you get the program you will be able to drag the files from the ipod back to you comp. Just make sure you set the itunes to manual management.

Cool. I actually stopped it last night because it froze up on me. I had over 6200 files on my iPod......It did about half my shit before freezing. This morning I found where the music was saved and dragged it to iTunes. I've got some organizing to do, but half is better than nothing and having to start from scratch. Plus, maybe not having everything I have on there is a good thing. I was almost out of space and had to remove a few things over the last few weeks in order to make space for new stuff. If I keep it like this I'll have more room for some of the stuff I'll lose, and new things...
