am i weird of just a creature of habit... i stayed at a hotel the toilet paper was going in a direction that is different than mine at home so i switched it around...

ran into my ex at the store I can say after all these years we still can have a good convo...hmm

I feel you, my ex and I still talk.... even work out together. It's easy to see what I liked in him, although we'll never be a couple again.

There's a glitch in the system. 3 consecutive days of glorious sunshine in London. Whatever next.

I'm still not so sure about you. Just getting that feeling in the back of my head.

End of a Chapter in My Life

No, I'm not leaving BGOL/SOL.

Yesterday was my last day with the company that I had worked for the last five years.

Five years of going all over the world, to American embassies and working with the military personnel at each stop. I had a blast doing it.

Yesterday they had a going away party for me. And it was hard to keep from tearing up. I actually enjoyed that job.

Now I may not be unemployed for long. The company (ManTech) has an opening in Arlington, VA for a Systems Administrator position. I've already forwarded my resume and security clearance info to them. And signs look good to me getting the spot. Plus I would still be working with the military in some capacity.

But I also have some offers for positons from other companies. A few would allow me to work closer to home in Baltimore. Nothing against DC, but the idea of a shorter commute is a good thing.

So, no more jetsetting around the world for me. Though I may do it again. The project manager said she would like to have me come back should they get some openings available. I would like to, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Time to begin a new chapter in my life.

GP, I wish you all the best in finding a new role and chapter in your life.

On looking back, you've had a role where you could travel across the world and experience different cultures etc. Many people would love to be in your shoes at that time.

Good luck on that job hunt.

GP, everything will work out for the best. Just from what you have posted, (and I don't know you like that), I have faith in your abilities that you will be in demand. Good luck and start your new chapter with a smile; you've done a lot.

Be blessed.
