why is this dude living in the bronx? riverdale is ok...but if im a millionair im not living there,so the financial struggles part dont seem far off.

Damn. I had a lot of respect for dude's hustle. I have a hard time believing that someone with the connections and resources that he had access to would off himself over a tax bill or a brawd.

I don't begrudge a man for going out on his own terms.
Life is a struggle regardless of your status.
But unless you're dealing with a painful and terminal illness, you don't off yourself especially when you have young seeds depending on your guidance.
My mother was just diagnosed with brain cancer and had to go into an operation last week. I guess all that religion she follows worked for something cuz she approached it like a champ and came out well with no malignant symptoms.
If Lighty did in fact off himself for something as petty as financial reasons with all the resources he has at his disposal, fuck him.
Save your sympathy for his kids.

All the money and fame in the world can't buy your soul back. A lot of these music industry cats did not get where they are by happenstance. They had to sell their souls to get the money and fame. On the outside things look glamorous, but behind the lights these cats are hurting. RIP to Chris Lighty. Never forget the numerous times I kicked it in Atlanta at the infamous Gold Club with Lighty and Irv Gotti back in the day before the fame. Blessings to his family.

I heard from an insider that his debt was actually closer to 20 million but only 5 million was IRS debt. He said he owed his wife a few million, the street a few million and a few million on personal debt.
