Every year, my wife takes me on a birthday cruise. We just got back yesterday. During this cruise, on 3 separate occasions, I thought these white women did some mad disrespectful shit to their husbands. The first one was when this white woman came up to me and complemented my outfit and then called her husband over and said, "See honey? This is the outfit I was telling you about. Can you teach my husband how to dress like you?" Of course, my wife and I laughed it off and kept it moving. The next day, we get off the boat in the DR, and while we're in this store, this other white woman and her husband gets in the checkout line behind us, and she goes, "Wow! I like how your Hokas match your shirt! How did you put that combo together?" My wife laughed and said, "It's what he does. He's weird like that!" Then the white woman looks at her husband and says, "See this? You should start dressing like him." My wife then gives me that "Oh, shit! This bitch is serious!" look.

The last time was when we were at the buffet on the boat. This older white chick goes, "Wow! Look at you! Everything falls right into place! Then she waves her husband over and says, "Look at his outfit. You see how everything matches? Check out how his shoes matches his watch and pants. You should do something like this." To his credit, while she was in the middle of talking about that shit, he walked away. My wife walks up and says, "What was that about?" I told her to guess, and she started laughing. My wife was like, "You should feel flattered.", but that shit felt disrespectful to me. I asked my wife how she would feel if I did that to her, and she was like, "Oh, yeah, when you put it that way, that shit is kinda disrespectful." We were laughing about it while talking to this white couple, and the woman says, "Really? I don't think it was disrespectful at all. Sometimes, we have to show our husbands examples of things we'd like to like to see them do." When she said that, her husband kind of laugh it off and looked away. My questions are, am I bugging, or is this disrespectful? Secondly, is this a white people thing? I can't imagine a brother putting up with this.

According to bgol white women are submissive and fall in line. They respect their husband choices no matter what. They never disrespect their mate in public or in general. And yet you have 3 diff examples in one short trip of them completely doing the opposite. Bgol lied to me, I trusteddd you.. white queens stories were all lies lmaoooo

Most of our people make a conscious effort in how we look, even if it's to look bummy. Women of ALL cultures love that about us until we obviously make the effort to "impress" them. Take the compliment, and casually keep it pushin, or you'd be fuckin someone's white wife later, while her husband sits in a dark corner, jerkin off to some old Phil Collins music.

Its a two Americas thing.

for US? That is KINDA disrespectful. Its the wife telling the husband please let me dress you LIKE THAT.

I have had the same experience. It is actually supposed to be a big compliment to YOU (and your wife)

White woman and black woman who date white guys will do that disrespectful shit. To the point it’s kinda like them saying hey look at that apex predator you inferior being. I definitely could tell you some stories of white woman and black woman who mess with white cats doing similar things towards me in front of their men. To the point them nigs look real uncomfortable, some give out nervous laughs, some have their head down, and I’ll give a sadistic smirk at the cac like whose on top of the food chain buddy. In certain cases the female might give clues that you can bag them but that’s a whole nother topic. It happens way more than a lil bit

They were probably looking for a negro to fuck their diseased ridden unseasoned wives
The whites are heavily into incest and the sexual prowess of black men.
If thats not the case white men are also fucking neutered by their wives
They go by a mantra of "happy wife happy life" where he fucking suffers while the old prune dried up bitch berates, belitttles, and emasculates his ass
This couldve happened as well...maybe a combination of both.

This man gets it

It's kinda disrespectful to YOU as well, like playing into the Black Bull stereotype....like that's all we're good for on some slavery thought process.

Has nothing to do with slavery and everything to do with why white men hates us cause we are top of the food chain. White women can’t help themselves when their in the presences of greatness cause their spouse is mediocre

It's disrespectful to the husbands to drag them over to you to see what a fashionable man dresses like.

I'm unsure how you should feel disrespected, the wives are giving you credit for the way that you dress. You shouldn't feel disrespected, you should be flattered.

Wifey and I were in an elevator in Las Vegas last year, and this white woman goes, "Wow... you guys look good. Can I ask what's the occasion?" My wife says, "Its his birthday, so we're going to the Binion's Steakhouse for dinner." She looks at my wife's jacket and she says, Your Jacket is beautiful... would mind if I touch it?" Wifey goes, "No go ahead." The woman feels the sleeve of my wife's jacket and asks, "Where did you get it, it's so soft?" My wife says, "He bought it for me last year as a birthday present."

To me, the exchange was very innocent (even though we're not to keen on being touched by white folks). But, I think that we have to remember that most white folks have no sense of style, so we fascinate them. You hear about Gucci, Versace, etc... But they usually have a lot of Black people behind the scenes designing that shit.

We as Black folk for the most part try to dress for the occasion. If I'm chilling, you wouldn't think I have a pot to piss in. I have old adidas that I wear to go get the mail... my friends call them bend-over because I walk on the back of them... they look like fucked up slippers. But, I also have shoes that I've paid over $900.00 for that I wear for special occasions.

So, I guess I'm saying, I think O'le girl liked your style. I don't think it's a bad idea for her to ask hubby to take a look at your swag... unless she was being mean to him about it. That's different.

I think white people feel like they can take these social liberties with us because subconsciously we're on display for their entertainment. Kinda like "wow! can I touch your hair?!?" I don't think she was disrespecting her husband. I think she was unknowingly disrespecting you and your wife. But then again they all could have been a bunch of swinger couples looking to hire a new bull for their homegrown!

If the white chick came up to you and said "Those Hokas look really nice, I'd like to get a pair for my husband when we get back" then cool. Women clowning their men in front of strangers is some different shit.

That is purely a white woman thing. They are analytical as fuck.

If white men are not wearing suits, they're totally clueless how to do color coordination or dress for any other occasion other than the office. That shit is in our blood. Woodchuck was out unintentionally teaching them fashion. :D

Happy B-lated my Dude...
It wasn't disrespectful until they said what they did, loud enough for you to hear it.
They should have Chin-Checked their ladies!! j/k, I'm not into hittin women!

Your cruise wear is excellent my boi. You are the envy of every middle age white couple. lol Keep matching them hookas with your fits bro you gonna have all the Karen pussy you desire. lol

Brother Woodchuck, if three woman come up to you and tell you what you are wearing is working, then it is working at the max level.
If they brought their husband up to see how you are putting you swag together, then it wasn't sexual, you just know how to do it.
Hell I might need to call you for some advice, I dress like shit.

I see no disrespect in any of the situations. some people are just outstanding at what they do. JMHO :)

I just felt kinda bad for their husbands. The 3rd guy just walked away and left his wife standing there.

Agreed, was gonna mention similar. It's like wow, black people aren't all like (the perceived conception in their head).
On a cruise, you meeting people from all over the country, some that don't even see a black person at all on a daily basis, only on TV maybe. Some areas of the country, we don't even live there.

I've had many similar experiences over time, it's awkward as fook, and have had to ask the wife after, did you notice that, she agrees and then I know I'm not thinking crazy.

Fuck all that bullshit. Props to your wife for taking you on a b day cruise yearly. That's my favorite kinda vacations.

And the white folks? They're just weird. I realized long time ago they rarely know what to say to black folks and usually end up saying some weird shit as a result.
