Saw a story about a peculiar place for video game development on a popular gaming website. Wanted to do an episode of a mini documentary series about it, as well as highlighting a few other obscure places where technology creates jobs.
I thought that this would be an ideal platform to showcase the client (either apple/google/MS) as a fantastic resource for education, opportunity, and a platform for empowerment in places where technology creates a better future.
I'm working on a brief proposal that outlines:
1. My budgetary requirements to get this done.
2. How this benefits the image of the client, as well as informs the audience about the client in a light of which they are likely unfamiliar.
3. Why I am able to get this project done, pointing to my history with this type of work.
4. My projected outline for project completion.
Frankly, I've had a tough time even getting Microsoft's PR to talk to me, much less send me a free Xbox for a previous proposal that I did, regardless my history.
How does one go about posing something like this to Google, MS, or Apple? Who would I talk to and where would I begin to find out?
I can do the outline, but I have no communication with those companies and have no idea how to begin that relationship. Does anyone have a history with any of them or suggestions about how I can proceed?
I don't want this to stall, and would welcome any recommendations that lead to keeping this moving forward. It's not an expensive project and would cost about 100k all told to get everything done.
