Do any of you guys know anything about primerica?
My boy hooked me up wit this guy but i dont trust this whole situation
I got this guy in my house today trying to sell me mutual funds, legal protection, retirement plans, ways to get rid of debt and a chance to work part time for the company.(He tried to sneak that in real quick) He's talkin but aint saying nothing. And it feels like he trying to sell me shit based on my lack on knowledge and fears about money. He came to my house last week and told me he would do a Financial Needs Analysis (which he did) I didnt sign any papers or buy any services. I told the guy that i wanted to do more research before i give up my money. I guess what i'm asking is, had anybody gone through similar situations. Any advice on buying these services? Where to go, who to talk to. Shit a brother trying to get his money right and prepare for the future but i anit trying to get fucked over cuz i trusted my boy! :smh:

Ok....from what I heard about it.....it doesn't seem like anything beneficial long term. I have a relative who got my grandmother to buy into it. She says that when the stock is up, you have money in the bank. When the stock is down.....well common sense will tell you the rest. So once I got older, she went ahead and cashed out her fund or whatever because she says it was no good to her.

Now as an adult, I have been to 2 Primerica meetings..........

The first one I went to, we were in this BIG fancy house. I mean, look like money. But when we got on the inside, the bitch was about empty. (You can PM MistaFlynt to back me up). We went downstairs in the basement where they were conducting the meeting and to me, it just seemed like a bunch of BS. I wasn't sold at all.

Second go round I had this guy invite me to his "office" to talk it up. He was a lil' more convincing but he was telling me to start selling for Primerica, I would have to be a client first. I don't believe in buying into something just to make my money back unless it is a product that I have confidence in myself for the jump. Plus, why can't I just start selling without buying anything???

All in all, it just seems like a bad pyramid scheme.

Primerica is a pyramid scheme I repeat it is a pyramid scheme!!!!

A few years back i worked with a security company at an event when they were in atlanta at the Georgia dome. The shit was huge them motherfuckers got money but it seems to me only the big dogs the dudes at the top of the pyramid really making money. I have never seen anything like it in my life dudes seemed like they were worshipping money. the event was like a fucking mind control seminar including light shows fireworks all inside the georgia dome where the falcons play it was a packed house. I asked a lot of people about it, the shit is a glorified pyramid scheme where the rich get richer and the poor get the short end of the stick these motherfuckers got these people like zombies chanting and dumbing out i would be careful man that shit looks very suspect to me.

My point exactly. Also, I forgot to mention. The way they had me meet the "head guy" seemed very staged and practiced. So the lesson we have learned today is stay away from Primerica and Tahitian Noni.

Yo I had some decent experiences and some bad experiences with the company. Most of the products are decent but the reps can be full of shit. They get paid on commission and can be pushy to either get you to buy a product or join their MLM. I know some people who took advantage got their licenses (mortgage, series 5,6 and 7) then bounced from the company.

Personally do some research and only get what you need. If you do join, learn everything you can then bounce. They will teach you everything you need to know about life insurance, mortgages, etc. But they will also want you to recruit. If you not feeling that rep find another one in your area.
These niggas is like roaches... they plentiful and they all hungry.

The newer ones are more pushy than the older ones AND they know much less. All of will try to get you to recruit before they teach you anything. Tell these fuckers that you new in town and don't know nobody and pimp the shit out of they classes. Then bounce.

everything said above is true.......it's sort of a legal type scam.....
as far as insurance and the products they offer are concerned, they are the absolute bottom of the barrel...........

out of all the insurance companies in the US (some good, some bad) the only one NOT recognized by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors http://www.naifa.org/ is Primerica......

ps...i'm in the risk management & wealth accumulation industry, if you have any personal questions or concerns feel free to ask via pm...

Yo thanks for the feed back! Wow this is funny cuz when I told my mother about it she started screamin at me (DONT DO IT!) and telling me that it was a pyramid scheme and that their mutal funds don't do that well. The other crazy thing is, he told me in the first meeting to get a list of like 14 ppl that might be intersted. He called it homework. When I told him that I didn't have any numbers dude got up semi upset. And then when I told him that I didn't want to buy any services he started shoving papers at me and getting frustrated. Talkin about how he didn't want to waste his time and that he's willing to work wit ppl that want to work with him. At the same time he's telling me how great the company is ("We dont hurt ppl") and how large they are wit the trillion dollars in assets. and still trying to get me to fill out forms
yo shit is wild!

Man that shit ain't nothing but Amway

My aunt done lost her fuckin mind fuckin with those cult classic muhfuckas. She been doing that shit for the past 10 yrs and you know how much money she made off that shit in total? 2500 :smh:

can you believe that shit? 2500 in 10 fuckin years

This bish still trying to sell amway shampoo's and shit

Let me give you a true to life answer. I was one of the youngest licensed agents for Primerica(actually in the early days it was called A.L. Williams). I will say that the insurance principles of buy term and invest the difference is sound logical investing. The problem is that Primerica's level term policies are more expensive than most Insurance Company term policies. Anyone who tells you Primerica is not a legitimate company is either lying or simply has no idea what they are talikng about. Primerica is owned by The Travelors Corporartion and is a fortune 500 compamy with Billions and Billions in assets. As far as there mutual funds are concerned they have some that are highly rated and some that are poor, most of them have are invested with Smith Barney and Legg Partners. I left Primerica and the insurance industry after 4 years because I got tired of arguing with other Insurance company agents who were pissed cause I was taking all there custumers and it got to be a pain recruiting people. I made between $130-$160 k the 4 years I was there the last year I made over 75k.The best advice I can tell you is go thru the classes and get ur Insurance License,ur Securities License and do it part time for 6 months. If you dont make any money with them take your licenses and check out Prudential or go Independent. If you wanna invest money into mutuals look at Wells Fargo,T.R.Price,and Fedility for their Capital Appreciation and Aggressive Growth Funds and especially T.Rowe's Telecommunication Funds it's my best Fund with a 43% return the last 3 years. It was rated in USA Today as #1 Growth Fund.
Good Luck to you.

Actually, Primerica, and Quixtar ( Amway ) are both MLM. I AM working the Quixtar business. Neither situation is REALLY a get rich quick. Even though some would make it seem that way. Check this out Primerica deals with everything mentioned. Where as Quixtar deals with everyday products, which makes more since. But none the less if you do not have a business mind, just let is all go. I for one I sick of having to work. Thus I have several side hustles, Quixtar, web-work, promotional work, shoot I even fix computers. All the while I have a 9-5 as a software engineer. I can tell you some REAL horror stories , and I can tell you of people that make just enough, to stack loot for the future(ME). All I can say is cut though the show, and make up your mind on the issue. Or you can do like I did, let the Primerica people set you up with a good budget plan, and NOT sign a damn thing......

Go to one of those meetings. You'll find you'll come out with just as much info as you had going in.

Primerica is just like anything else in life brother man; YOU get want You put into it. Nothing more, nothing less. Most people are turned off because you have to ACTUALLY work their system to become successful and they are not concerned with where you went to school or what your GPA was or any of that other superficial bullshit. Oh yeah, and there is none of that "hook-a-brother up" with a job where I can surf BGOL all day long and collect a check at the end of the week shit either.

Can you name a business in this world that doesn't require people to succeed?

There are some very ignorant comments posted in this thread. Actually, I'm kind of disappointed in some of the shallow and grossly educated responses listed.

Primerica, is a reputable company, doing reputable business all over America. It's not a scam, pyramid or any of that other bullshit I saw listed in here. It is simply a network marketing company using financial services.

I'm 36. I started 13 years ago part-time. I worked part-time my first six years and got all of my licenses; insurance, investment, mortgage, LTC and few more that I have probably forgotten about. I went full-time as a VP 6 or 7 years ago. I have opened 3 offices in that time. I have a little over 3 million in cash. I have a two year old son. I have spent the first 4-6 hours (and a bunch moe!) of every day with him since he has been alive. I have not worked a regular weekly schedule of 40-50 hours in over two years. In short, life is GREAT my friend!

Oh yeah, I do NOT have a 1,000 reps (for the cynics). There are only 12 of us.

The truth is that YOU really don't trust "your boy". We like talking to sceptics, they just need information. We never do business with cynics; they are just negative.

I am an educated, free human being and I will answer any question that you have. A job is just slavery re-engineered.........
