Well if you checkout some of the other indigenous cultures you'll find that light skin is a premium from the Asians to the polynesians and even in the Aztec folklore it was knpown that they placed a premium on lighter skinned whiteman who had just arrived in the new world. It's not a black thang because every culture understands.......even the whites themselves place a premium on blonde hair and blue eyes.
