^^^GOW you're back? What did you get banned for this time.

Yeah, I know about TEN and his insanely itchy BAN trigger.
He's done it to me too and HNIC actually had to intercede and revoke TEN's ban.

Re: - Poll: Should BGOL Members Have More Control Over MOD Selection & Thread Deletio

If you were Ten you'd be ready to ban mufuckas too.

Re: - Poll: Should BGOL Members Have More Control Over MOD Selection & Thread Deletio

You can't make everybody happy. Don't we have nominations for who mods should be? I'm fine with that.

i thought those nominations were fake? i thought hnic just does it when he feels like it

Probably.

To a certain extent, I can't even really blame the mods for most of the shit that goes on here. A while back HNIC made the lame argument that he keeps the board rules simple, because if the mods were to have the leeway to ban people based on their discretion, then people would be getting banned left and right. That's bullshit. There have been some horrible mods in the past, but for the most part, the majority of mods stay in their lane, and keep the board moving. I think they're doing all they can within the guidelines HNIC has set.

Oh, I'm not down with GOW and the tranny shit, but his banning very suspect. Meanwhile we've got....aahhhh fuck it... the horse is dead... :(

I think it helps influence the decision. A few of the mods in the comic book forum were suggested noms.

So Don, what are the chances of disabling the thread delete feature for members?

He just listed the same shit he banned me for the first time. I couldn't do shit. All I did was post a link to the Marvin Gaye megapost that I posted in the music forum. I didn't post a rapidshare link or any other link but the one to the megapost in the music forum and I got banned. If you put that much hard work in you just want folks to see it instead of hiding it in the garage they call the music forum. You don't ban a person every time the post a homegrown flick to the main when there is a homegrown forum.

BTW, how did you contact HNIC to get him to remove your ban? (you can PM me the answer). I can see I am going to need it after getting banned twice for bullshit. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, Ten. You ain't bad. You ain't nothing.

BTW, can a mod overturn another mod's ban?

Wow - that's a little foul. I remember the post. You followed the rules. You didn't post any of the content in General section, you only posted a notifier to check out the Music Section.

I would do the same if there was something especially good in AGOL or Latin Girl Online.

I'm not sure a Mod can overturn another Mod's ban. I think at that point it requires a site Admin to do it.

I am not like some folks that go out looking for beef. And, as I said, after all of that hard work putting together music megaposts (which consists of finding a clear album cover, trying to find an already prepared tracklisting that pastes straight and doesn't have too much clutter, along with searching online to see if maybe there is a higher quality version than what I already have so if I can upgrade a 128 for a 192 or a 192 for a 320kbps) for 43 albums of Marvin, 37 or Stevie and a bunch more I have found the discography to and only have the 30 or so members who constantly peruse the music forum see it? :smh: Bullshit. I got your number, Ten. I should go all "Law Abiding Citizen' on you, Crooked assed cop.

Yeah - I know how hard it is put that shit together with the amount of detail it takes.

A yearly review of mods sounds ok to me. Not sure about control of thread deletion though.
