They must be losing a lot of money if they find it more cost effective to go back to paying actual employees to check people out again.
I'm sure they'll push people to using delivery and curbside services so employees pick the groceries rather than customers to cut down on walkout crime.

Why? I haven't been to Costco since I moved, but I would go there frequently.
I've never been to Costco; I go to Sam's Club. What's the difference?
Some of their products they sell.. their brands.. Kirkland for Costco and I forget what sams club/walmart brand is… probably the prices and also services/rebates
Might have to check it out. Wouldn't hurt to have two memberships.
Also depending on how much you buy from Costco you can get a percentage back end of the yr if you have the executive membership .. you get like 2 percent back

They may have changed it, but it was the cost of an Executive membership that you got back at the end of the year. So you could use that to re-up your account.
I can afford a better shopping experience now.
