Dunno why no one here has heard about creating fake female profiles to check out the competition. I don't think he means CHECK OUT the competition like that, but create a profile, put up some pics, and see what the men are writing in as their pick up lines or what their approach is.
After that, test to see if that approach works for you, wash rinse repeat.
