A new rumor suggests that PlayStation 4 is due this November and will be available at two price points. According to Kotaku, anonymous sources say the PlayStation 4 is currently planned for two SKUs at $429 and $529 respectively, though “that could change.”

My coworker told me that the PS4 will be run by a custom Android OS specially designed for Playstation 4.

He talks a lot of shit, so I don't know how accurate he is.

Sony will give a sneak peek at planned games for the ps4 on 4k ultra HD TV
They will say this is the true next Gen system worth waiting for.....until 2016
So please ignore the wiiu and Xbox 720 Durango and continue playing the ps3. Lol

Sony nor the game publishers make a dime from used game sales... That's why Sony and M$ are working on software to lock physical media from Next-Gen to your console and/or your online account...


These game companies have been waging war on Used Games for some time now.. "Online Passes" were the first strike..

Lol yeah those online passes were a joke if you bought a game late as used most likely nobody is interested in playing it online anymore ,buy an online pass for a games like twisted metal just to play with 5 other people.

“We think it’s unlikely that there would be that next-gen console because the model simply hasn’t been proven to work. Remember that used video games have a residual value. Remember that GameStop generates $1.2 billion of trade credits around the world with out used games model,” said Raines. “So consider taking used games out of that, you’d have to find new ways to sell the games, and our partners at the console companies have great relationships with us.” Translation: We’ve got game makers precisely where we want them and they don’t dare change that."

GameStop controlled between 60% and 70% of first week game sales, and more than 21% of the total game retail market in the U.S. When games first release (i.e. when they’re most profitable) people are buying them at GameStop.

He believes that if one of the consoles takes the chance on barring used games, the others will reap the reward by simply allowing them. It would be death for any new console to alienate such a huge base of gamers right out of the gate. Or, in other words, “so stupid as to be laughable.”
 
I believe the $429 price tag.

I don't know if I'm going to get it.

The backwards compatibility is a sticking point. I have too many ps3 games to just give up on.

The pc community is about to grow though.

Check out how steam, and even origin is running things. I fucked around and got 5 games for $50 from Origin during Christmas.

The PS3 was $600. It's reasonable for what it's supposed to be, both of them got burned for going too cutting edge the last time, and the market is different.

So assuming you have a Blu-Ray player.. What if they weren't B.C.? You'd be content with whipping out your old DVD Player everytime you wanted to watch a DVD?.. :confused:
