Yeah, people were mad outta pocket, threatening to call corporate and shit and trying to get people fired. Shit ain't even that deep. Threatening people's livelihoods all so you can play your little funky ass video game.
Blame the shit on COVID, if anything.
Because of COVID:
1) Sony/MS couldn't get enough microchips to put in their consoles to produce enough console units.
2) People being home more made them bored as fuck and want to game more, so demand and expectations were probably higher than they've ever been.
And 3) even still, most of the big games people were waiting on have been pushed back to some capacity.
Sony and MS should've saw those things and pushed the consoles back, but they wanted a good chunk of that stimmy money so they both pushed out as many units as they could.
