- For the best experience, use a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller when playing PS4 games and PS VR games on a PS5 console.
- PS5 games are not compatible with the DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller.
- To adjust the strength of controller vibration on PS5 consoles, go to Settings > Accessories > Controllers > Vibration Intensity.
- The Platinum and Gold Wireless Headsets, as well as third-party headsets that connect via USB port or audio jack, will work on PS5 consoles (the headset companion app is not compatible with PS5 consoles).
PS5 backwards compatibility limitations
- The SHARE menu cannot be displayed during PS4 gameplay on PS5 consoles. You can take screenshots and images by pressing the create button on your DualSense wireless controller to show the create menu. Additionally, you can use the button shortcuts to start/stop video recording or to save screenshots as follows:
- Single press the create (DualSense) or SHARE button (DUALSHOCK4) to show the create menu
- Press and hold the create (DualSense) or SHARE button (DUALSHOCK4) to take a screenshot
- Double press the create (DualSense) or SHARE button (DUALSHOCK4) to start and stop video recording manually.
- The HD Camera is not compatible with PS4 games – please connect a PlayStation Camera via a PlayStation®Camera adaptor.
- HDR is automatically switched on for PS5 consoles. To turn off HDR, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > HDR and select SDR.
- The PS4 tournaments feature is not supported on PS5 consoles.

So the only game I'll still have to use the PS4 controller with on the PS5 is NHL 21 cause it's not gonna be next Gen. Which is weird.

They finally dropped some good info on the PS5, this is good to know. These consoles won't have everything on day one anyway. I remember the PS4 was missing a lot of stuff but eventually ended getting a lot of things with download updates.OK so yea don't get rid of everything if you plan on playing PS4 games.

I still hope that the PS5 will someday play discs from PS1 thru PS3 as well, maybe with third party software or an inhouse update. I'm guessing since Sony went with custom hardware for the 1st three consoles, its more difficult to build BC into the PS5 for them. While Microsoft stuck with PC x86 chips from the beginning just customizing the software for their consoles.

Who the fuck is really gonna stand their console up like that?
I've never been a proponent of standing consoles up on their sides, but I wouldn't rule it out since I game on a 4k gaming monitor on a desk now instead of a TV.
I might get a digital and stand it up behind the monitor to save some space. It'll basically look like a big ass modem at that point.
They said launch, but be ready to get up early to get in line.
There's a rumor that there might be a 3rd wave of pre-orders on Friday or Saturday, but the source seems to reference Amazon Canada or some other countries, so I don't think it'll be US.
I'd say be prepared for that possibility as well, especially if they have something else they want to announce about the PS5. But realistically, I think US pre-orders are a wrap until launch.

You are forgetting about 360 games.
Anyhow, Microsoft's advantage there is that they had specific routines and instructions that the 360 used for texture formatting and audio baked into the one/x's hardware and started working out what needed to be emulated and how back in 2009, well before the one's hardware was developed.

I'm trying to fuck with Best Buy because of the curbside pickup, but Amazon is good if you don't want your card charged until the console actually gets shipped to you.
