Hasn't tradition shown that add-ons like this don't really do well?
finally got one. Trying to decide if I should keep it or sell it...lol.
I finally managed to buy 2 PS5 consoles during the last month.
Both were the result of sheer dumb luck.
Bought one directly from the Sony Store.
They sent me an email invite to buy "during a limited time" from the Sony website............ and the links actually worked.
The other I bought online (a few weeks later) from Target, by randomly searching the Target website for PS5 consoles, on a whim. I got lucky that I actually found a Horizon West bundle... and I could actually "Add to Cart"....then Checkout.... and go pick it up from a store location that was waaayyy out in the boondocks, near JFK airport.
I kept one for myself... gave the other to my brother.
We both had been trying to buy it for the last 2 years... with no luck at all.

I don't have a PlayStation, so pardon my ignorance, but is the God of War game really that good?

God of War... IS... that good. The last version came out in 2018 (God of War 4).
It was one of the most decorated games in the entire history of video games...
In 2018, God of War 4 won 262 different Video Game Awards.
In 2018, God of War 4 beat Spider-Man + Red Dead Redemption 2 for "Game of the Year".
See the chart below... GoW4 ranks number #3 .... OF ALL TIME... in terms of the total # number of Video Game Awards Won.
God of War is ranked #6 on the list because this data table is sorted by the "% of Awards Won."
Not by the "Total Number" of awards won.
If you are considering buying God of War 5: Ragnarok, in November... I would highly recommend playing God of War 4... FIRST.
Because Ragnarok is the conclusion to GoW4.
The whole storyline STARTS with GoW4... it's been 9 years of game development... across 2 different titles... so don't start at the very end.
Don't cheat yourself. The entire ride is worth it.
(Btw, if you don't have a PlayStation... GoW4 is now available on PC also!)Just saying.

I got one last month and I wasn't even looking to get one. I got an invite and was pondering whether or not I should pull the trigger. It had a countdown clock on the invite so i said, "fuck it" and ordered it.

If you've never played any of the previous God of War games, you might want to watch a summary of them on YouTube. It's not totally necessary, but there are parts of the story that hit differently when you know the full backstory.
I bought a PS4 Pro in 2018 solely because folks on the board spoke so highly of GoW. I wasn't disappointed. Fantastic game. I can't wait until Ragnarok comes to the PC.

I think god of war is free if you buy a ps5 or that use to be the case when the ps5 came out , you get a bunch of free ps4 games
The console I purchased today comes with "Horizon Forbidden West" bundle. However, I'll inquire if they are giving a coupon for a free copy of the GoW with my purchase. If not, I'll buy it.

can't even get beyond the original stage where you raise/lower that gate (the kid just stands there looking at it)
game looks dope as hell
will figure it out in time i guess
sidenote - when i first got my PS5 and was waiting for HFW to finish downloading, i messed around with Astro for a bit
shit looks cool as hell, but thinking it was just a demo, i put it aside and haven't played it since.
is Astro, in fact, a full game?
