Pink Shirts on black men?

This is so true. It is truly the man that makes the shirt and not the shirt that makes the man. Go the Village in NYC and you see homos walking around looking super rugged rockin Timberlands, white tees etc.:smh::smh::smh:

I've been working in corporate America for the past 15 years and I find alot of us Black folks are the only ones that object to pink shirts or ties. The people out there getting 'real' money in corporate America are rocking the pink/pastels because it is a sign of security and confidence.:yes::yes:

I own about three pink dress shirts and Versace, Michael Kors and Claiborne ties all with pink inclusions.My wife loves it and thats all that counts. :yes: :yes:

The brand of the pink doesnt make it more acceptable. They are rocking pink and pastels because they see the shit in cameron videos or GQ magazine in the white peoples cases.

What I am trying to communicate is that whats 'acceptable' to every other square out there doesn't matter. I am super fly when rock the pink shirts with both the black and Gray suits. I dare a ninja to comment on my pimpin material while on the streets. :yes:

We put so much emphasis on these stupid little superstitions and insecurities within our community.When more brothers become secure within themselves enough to work on creating more markets for the empowerment/betterment of our community then I will have the time and energy to take you on. I notice a lot of us brothers that are cocky amongst their peers but act like little hoes amongst whites. :smh:

I don't know about y'all but I do my shit grown man style. I'm very secure with my masculinity. So I know that just about anything (with a few exceptions) looks good on me.

However, there is overboard and overtly homosexual displays of the color perhaps, but there's no need to be phobic about it...

dude if you like pink go head do you. you are trying to convince me that wearing pink is acceptable so you are not completely secure in yourself. Ask yourself this if nobody else was wearing pink would you still rock it. Its the same thing with dudes that have cornrows in their hair if you told them they had to do it they would be so opposed to it but since someone above them does it they find it acceptable.

Your minds have been poisoned. Wearing a pink shirt is not gay. Wearing pink boots, pink fir hats and pink footwear is another matter. Pink does not make anyone gay or feminine. If the wearer has gayness within them you know it. Their gayness shows and the color of a shirt is not going to be the determining factor.

There's nothing wrong with men wearing pink or any other pastel colors as long as its done correctly. Meaning as long as the fool don't tie the shirt off around his waist. :eek:

I think the problem is it's a color we don't see worn much by men, not since the 60s. But again wearing pink does not make someone gay.
 
I have a single pink shirt. For the longest time I thought wearing one would be suspect but then I got a mind of my own. Colors are just colors. If homos claim the color blue, are you gonna stop wearin that too? As far as I know, prep school kids started this back in the late 60s - early 70s. They wore pink to flex their "security."
 
Is it gay, no. Like someone said, the man makes the clothes, not the reverse. I have 2 pink shirts ( a long sleeve button down, and a short sleeve polo ) and a pair of pink slacks. It's all about the person, are they secure enough to wear it, and do THEY think they look good in it.

The only thing about the shirt posted above I don't like is the pinstripes, otherwise, with that blue horse, that would get added to the wardrobe.

I've got several tastefully designed custom pink dress shirts the Nordstom made for me . The ladies on the job love it when I wear them. They say the pink against this chocolate complexion is a turn on.
 
I dont thinik that it is inherently gay but it depends on what else you are wearing plus your mannerisms and the gayblood in the body...

I personally can wear pink ya dig and have three polo style shirts that I wear...
hell I even snapped a few pics cuz i am bored...

that said, i once owned a fuchsia t-shirt. the jawn i was w/at the time had 1 too. that's as close to pink as i'll ever get...

fuchsia dude that is 100x's worst than pink. I wouldnt wear either but any man wearing a color that is not called red orange yellow blue or green or pink just for kicks is not cool.
