I don't think so. Even in countries that have strong gun laws criminals still posses them. But the difference is you don't see them gunning innocent people down in the streets.

I don't know what it is about this country, but our mentality is fucked up or society is fucked up. You can try and get rid of all the guns and Americans will still find some way to wild out.

south philly used to be all white...

when i was in highschool (i graduated in 87) south philly from woodland ave on to oregon and pass that was ALL WHITE..... i guess during the early 90s blacks must have moved all out there cuz now from woodland to oregon is heavily mixed and elmwood is all black now.

When I graduated in 1992, alot of South Philly was still mostly white/italian, when I went back in 2003 things looked WAAY different.

Guns come into philly by the trunk load from different areas its a 400% mark up, smokers will sell you a gun for $25. property value is rising, its easier to buy your property if you fear for your life on your block. banks sit on run down property until the block looks like a ghost town then build. majority of the murders is related to the drug game, personal beefs, its easier for me make a call to get some kats to bust guns than to get kats to protest against something, and I've tested that theory, it was just a eye opening ploy and these are older kats, so what is expected form the young kats trying to make a name for themselves. I try to get to the ones thats not deep in the game yet, try to teach them how to fish sort a speak, but when you leave the game how many people try to pull somebody else out with them or is not affraid to speak out against the dumb shit? you got a lot of kats thats there to say handle your business but letting it ride is a hard to tell someone. how many of yaw talk to kats in your hood about the leaving the game and what the future holds???

If only it was that simple. It's pretty much just a cycle that keeps growing, starting with broken homes. Most parents are kids themselves all caught up in the game and trying to get theirs, what example are the children supposed to take. I mean on the real I don't wanna move out the hood, but who wants to do commando rolls to get to the bus stop. Most of the deaths here are from crossfire. Last year a young girl was hit in her own crib, watchin tv no doubt, another youngin was hit while ridin in a car A FUCKIN CAR!!! Yo Philly always been crazy but now they taking it to the extremes. I just hope everyone from here on the board is around to talk about this next year, feel me.

Its the rules man. You hear it all the time. Something pop off what you do? pop back, people see shit but they taught don't snitch. You have a bunch of young people comin up who's only role model was Tv ( You know how they do us ) Movies ( please, if it aint about fuckin or shooting, it wasn't a black film ) or music ( I don't need to explain this one ). this is the fallout of the 80s and all those crack babies... no seriously

oldheads remember seeing and hearing all those stories and news exposes about the crack epidemic and crack addicted babies and how they would have all these problems from difficultly learning to personality disorders asnd shit..well that was in 85..its 2007 and all those babies are grown now. Now we're seeing the results of all that shit.
