epps would surpass buster douglas for most shocking moment in entertainment if he pulls this off..if this was a las vegas bet u could become a billionaire overnite rooting for epps cause nobody thinks he's gonna do a good job..this nig must been nastier than vanessa del rio on the casting couch to get this part

Fyi: Omar Epps was pretty damn good as that therapist also.
 
Just now seeing it.

That was pretty damn good. It wasn't spot-on like a Jamie Foxx on Ray Charles impression.

But you have to give props for a performance not too shabby.

If you want to see Marlon act, peep Requiem For A Dream, where he plays a heroin addict. He did a good job.

But this? He doesn't have the gravitas needed to play Pryor. Not sure if Epps does either. Will have to wait and see.
 
epps is coked up. only way I can see him a performance over marlon. he must be method and high the entire shoot. it aint going to work otherwise. he probably said please im willing to actually be coked up for two months.

Marlon conveyed some real emotion, but I didn't see much Richard Pryor here. that leftover from the muppets mustache didn't help at all.
 
He also needed to study Richards body movements..the head bob and shoulder shrugs when he chuckles or makes a point.
 
Marlon can act but the thing for me is "I still see Marlon Wayans". I don't see Richard. Again, its not because of his acting skills, its just more of a facial recognition thing with me. When I look at those scenes, I see Marlon doing the Halloween skit where he was talking shit to the little kids. Face and tone of voice still has me seeing Marlon.

Now when Jamie Foxx did Ray Charles, I didn't see Jamie, I seen Ray. From voice, to face to mannerisms. I thought I was watching Ray Charles the whole way through. I just can't do that with Marlon.

i'm rooting for mike, he's shown he can handle dramatic roles in a couple different projects...the spread is definitely stacked against me tho
 
Good acting but as it has been stated already, I didn't see "Pryor" in there.

I bet Mike Epps is going to surprise us all.
