Paying Bills...How do you do it!!!

I never wanted to use credit cards because I felt like the cash back rewards was always peanuts compared to what im spending to get them, it seems like the companies dangling a false carrot over my head, and I know they are benefiting off me more than I would be benefiting off them.... I don't like nobody eating off me.

I hate manipulation and I feel like that fugazzi customer loyalty program is their way of trying to make you play their game.

Yeah, once I get down to a zero balance, I'll try this. As long as I don't get charged any interest and I pay it off right away, I'm good

Sitting here paying bills and it took all of 5 minutes...My method...I have an exel spreadsheet to track every peny I earn, spend, save and invest. I can tell you how much i payed for gas five years ago. So my spreadsheet has bills I pay with one paycheck and the second check the next set of bills. I pay all bill online and write one check a month for the mortgage.

BTW, I am an engineer hence the spreadsheet.

I Pretty much use the same method with the spread sheet. My spread sheet goes 2 years out into the future. I can pretty much guess what my cash flow looks like regarding bills, planned trips, house maintenance, etc. Determine how much I want to save for the year. Divide by 12 and save that amount each month.

I rarely touch the cash in the bank. I use a cash back cc to pay for everything: groceries, gas, etc. Pay that shit in full each month and collect cash back.

Yes I wasn't born in 2000's or in the 1990's and I'm pretty sure neither was you(Over-grown)...so we've seen people write checks or get money orders to pay bills more times than we can count;If it's not broke I'm not trying to fix it.

yeah, thats crazy. He said he does it to keep a record, but when you make a payment online, you get an email confirmation. Just save that email, or print as pdf and file them away.

Fuck all of that email confirmation shit,computers shut down,shit malfunction all the time,it just won't be on my dime and I have a file....my check book.

Don't get me wrong,it would be convenient to do that and it would save me time but I'm not relying solely on tech to do what I can do;What helped me come to that decision besides watching how my father paid his bills including his own funeral......my nephew is 19 can't sign his name in cursive because he wasn't taught that in school,at home he's not practicing that shit like he was told to do and when he opened an bank account,they sent him a debt card and nooo checks,the kid was actually disappointed because he wanted to write a check to at least if nothing else say he knows how to do it....

I go into the bank and the computers are down once a month;pretty soon they will be clowning niggas for having physical currency in their wallets instead of cryptocurrency.....I'm good at the moment where I'm at and where I'm headed.

I write about 7 checks a year and one of them is to the IRS and the rest to the gardener. That’s it.

Bruh ain't no negatives to using a cash back card as long as you pay that bitch off monthly. Making on time payments and building up a revolving credit history will beat their game.
