Paying Bills...How do you do it!!!

Tip, every time my internet bill goes up, I call the company and ask for the retention department. I tell them I am lookng to lower my bil, what promo do you have. They alway find a promo to lower my bill. Been doing it for the last 8 years. Works everytime.

Who's your ISP?

Your credit is giving you that finger right back...

nope. Bought my last three cars with no money down 100k approved. Y'see I'm retired. One car bought with cash. Only 15k but hey, im hood rich. I pay em, but still fuck with em. Not holding me back from shit

Yeah man.

As an aside, my kids are 7, 6 and 4 and for their entire existence, they never saw toy commercials when watching kids shows, because we either streamed Netflix, Hulu or Kodi... now watching Disney Channel or Cartoon network, we laugh at how amazed they are at toy commercials. Lolz

TRUTH

blessings to your family

I actually remember when these kids channels on basic cable didn't show ANY commercials back in the day channels like Nick Jr only showed educational info or music videos for breaks...

Now they took ALL that educational content and repackaged it as an educational app for like $10 a month.

Credit card statement usually comes around the 20th of the month. Payment is usually due around the 10th of the following month. Give or take a day or two.
Pretty much all expenses & general spending goes on there. Cable bill, cellphone, groceries, gassing up, entertainment & dining out. Annual utilities & car insurance is also paid via CC. Hydro billing - just pay it online every 2nd month (when paying off the monthly CC bill). Otherwise they charge some type of service charge/processing fee for the company they deal with (for people on prepaid plan). Same goes for annual property taxes as they don't accept CC payment, and are only cool with written check, in person at city hall or bank, or online payment. So that one just gets paid online.

The points / cashback on the credit card add up pretty quickly. Especially when combined with the in-store bonus offers (PC Plus). Thousands in free grocery redemptions over the years.

Got a physical folder at home for the above. Got some other investment & property stuff stored away with that shit too.

i pay 69 just for 100mb internet then 20 for set tv and my hulu and netflix
I did the free 3 day trial on a Sunday to see the NFL ticket. Worked like a charm. I did the 3 months for $55. I think it is the best cable alternative. I do have to turn off my VPN to use it though.

This is truth. My daughter just interviewed for her high school. I got 4 more Years

and they dont realize it but them high school and college years fly by...

you gonna be like.. yea my daughter is a freshmen in highschool,

then one day you gonna turn around and be like damn she junior already....

then you gonna be like.... as you are researching colleges..

damn cant believe by baby girl in college already.....

convenience is why i still pay for it. I can just turn on the cable box and BAM!

I have a firestick, but i dont want to search for working links everytime i want to wat h television

Man, I was cable free for damn near 7 years, but Bright House/Spectrum was going to raise my internet bill to $70+ and they had a package deal for internet, phone and cable for $20 dollars more.

Said fuck it.

I was mad invested in Kodi and streaming, but do you know how convenient it is to just turn that mufucka on without having to look for working streams? Didnt know what I was missing Lolz

My sister brought a fire stick over yesterday for me to put KODI on and said she was looking to drop cable and I told her the same thing. I've been using KODI almost two years but could never fully drop cable because of its convenience

eating out be killing the monthly budget
sure would. When i cook dinner i make sure there's leftovers for the next day. Sometimes i will make enough to have for lunch. If i eat the leftovers for lunch, i will have a smoothie for dinner, and let the kids eat the rest of the leftovers. I cook about 3 times a week. Saturday is probably the only day where i will get take-out, like pizza or burgers or something. Date night is like once a month, but in between i may do something cheap like a movie or cheap restaurant. This is all of course if you are trying to budget, but if you got it to splurge, who cares about a budget.

On the 11th of each month I pay all my monthy bills other than Rent which I pay on the last day of the month. I use my cash back credit cards to pay the bills, this quarter Chase freedom has 5% back on gas, cable/tv services and internet and cell phone. I pay the rest with my cap 1 quicksilver. I use the BOA cash rewards for groceries for the 2% back.

so you pay everything with credit cards, in which you get a discount on later. Then you just make payments on your cards? Does it eventually even out though, when you have to pay interest on your cards?

I pay off all my cards before the statement cuts. I let one card report a 2 dollar balance and then pay that 2 dollars before the payment due date. Since I've been using credit cards I have not paid any interest because I pay them off monthly.

Only thing I don't pay with credit cards is my rent, car note and insurance.

Every thing is with cash back credit cards, that cash back adds up. Chase Freedom, Cap 1 quicksilver, BOA cash rewards, and the Chase Southwest Airlines Preimer card are what I use. I use the southwest card for my flights and travel since I fly often and get double points on my purchases.

All my bills are in Auto bill pay so that I’m never delinquent on anything.

ok, makes sense. I might start doing this. I got that Capital One Quicksilver as well. I use my Jetblue Mastercard for traveling. Thanks

Wow, you write checks. Interesting in 2018.
yeah, thats crazy. He said he does it to keep a record, but when you make a payment online, you get an email confirmation. Just save that email, or print as pdf and file them away.

You don’t even need to print f it or save. Just use MINT to track all that stuff. If you write a check, mint can’t identify who got paid.
All my stuff is on autopay, except forthe Mexican lawn care dude who prefers a check. This way,I never have to sit down to write checks, never miss a bill and I have electronic lifetime records of everything.
Hell, some companies give you a discount for doing autopay.

I am paying like $15 just in FEES

$10 month for the modem...which is $200 to buy but only a 1 year warranty AND you can't use Voip on it.

I am paying $10 a month JUST for the boxes.

I got no premium channels but I am paying a $5 fee for the ABILITY to get it and they charging me $14 for the DVR

and a $7 sports package fee whether you have a sports package or NOT
You complaining?

Or you gon do something about it?

Cut them off and buy some books!

Yea, I'ma start doing this.

I never wanted to use credit cards because I felt like the cash back rewards was always peanuts compared to what im spending to get them, it seems like the companies dangling a false carrot over my head, and I know they are benefiting off me more than I would be benefiting off them.... I don't like nobody eating off me.

I hate manipulation and I feel like that fugazzi customer loyalty program is their way of trying to make you play their game.
