Paul Williams kO pic

Re: Paul Williams kO pic+video

Fam go back to pauls fight with sergio the first time, nigga chic was getting exposed left and right actually sergio got jerked out of that first fight. Shit even the cintreon fight pauls chic was getting worked for a brief sec until cintreon took that reggie miller type flop....

Paul's whole style is suspect and as accurate as pbf is pbf would straight dominate paul..

Pacman is just like paul, throwing an obscene amount of punches but not defending that chin, u saw how clotty worked pac's face and the nigga wasnt even throwing like that... Makes niggas think why pac aint fight shane? Shane would have beat the breaks off pac, shit even now..

Paul won the first fight, by outpointing him. Thats his fight style, that's why he throws alot, and that is the game. He has to stop fighting like he's hitting a punchin bag and fight. Keep up his right, stop following his opponents, stop leaning in while punchin, and he'll be back.

Nobody can fuck with maywhether.

He fought Shane this year and to be honest there is only one fight I want from either of these guys. Manny can continue to be the Kimbo Slice of these bumfights but he won't get any props from me... you guys can eat this shit up. A Manny just had his first welter fights this year I mean damn. Clottey didn't want to fight and Margarito doesn't deserve to be in boxing for both cheating and bummy-ness. I would prefer a blown up A-Class fighter over shrunken B, C and D fighters.

That's bullshit, plain and simple. I don't care how "A" you are, when the guy you are fighting has every possible advantage and just so happens to be floyd Mayweather Jr the outcome is already pre-determined. Manny could have lost that Margarito fight simply because Margarito was too big for him. Floyd just doesn't want to even entertain the possibility of losing and wants to have every possible advantage going into a fight. So it's ok for Manny to fight a dude who's six inches taller and weighs 20 pounds more but Floyd can't meet Martinez at 156 - when Floyd was already the 154 pound champ a couple years ago - GTFOH!!! Floyd's next opponent will be bullshit, he's probably waiting to get one of these 140 pounders to move up, most likely Amir Khan since Floyd's been salivating for a chance to fight in Britain - or he will take a "risk" and make Paul Williams come back down to 147 and fight him weight-drained. Manny and Floyd are both using smoke and mirrors. There are just more risks involved with Manny's and that's undisputable. I'm tired of hearing that Floyd can't fight any of these guys because they are too big, it's a bullshit excuse and looks worse because Manny is actually doing it, guys like Duran who started at bantamweight and went all the way up to 168 to fight Barkley who looked like a heavyweight - and Duran beat the shit out of him and took his title - at 38 years old. Floyd's legacy will be never fighting Pacman and it will be that of a ducker - and you know what - he deserves it, he brought it on himself. On a sidenote Martinez deserves FOTY, fuck that.

Floyd has an advantage over over fighter except for size.... so that is a false argument. Margarito had no chance of winning unless Manny gave him a chance by sitting on the ropes or giving up on his foot work.... so that is a false argument. Floyd's not fighting people cause they are to big... I agree isn't a real argument either or at least it wasn't an argument when he moved up before and fought welters at actual welter weights but I guess he has to keep moving until you guys are happy.

PBF fought a bigger, bummy Baldomir for legitimate championship at the actual weight for the belt and everyone acts like he committed a crime against boxing. Manny fights a bigger, bummy Margarito at a catch weight and I'm supposed to give him credit..... FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK that. Fuck the both of them but fuck Manny for fronting on the drug test.

But D, it was cool for him to fight Marquez who was 2-3 weight classes smaller than him, and then knowingly come into the fight above the weight mandated by the contract?

No it wasn't but it's easier to for a guy to come up than come down, especially once a fighter gets over 30.
Floyd fought one fight at jr middle against an older Oscar. Floyd only weighed 150 at the weigh in. The only jr middle fight he should entertain is Manny Pacquiao. Neither of them will, nor should, fight legit jr middles with real fighters at welter and light welter willing and able to come up to fight.

Paul won the first fight, by outpointing him. Thats his fight style, that's why he throws alot, and that is the game. He has to stop fighting like he's hitting a punchin bag and fight. Keep up his right, stop following his opponents, stop leaning in while punchin, and he'll be back.
.

He needs to bring in some outside help to work on his weaknesses without compromising his strengths.

Williams is in the same position as Winky Wright from years back. He has to win every fight because a loss gives top guys a reason to not fight him.

True, and then you give him every possible other advantage, height, weight, reach and the fight shouldn't even take place. And :lol: Lets see, Floyd's taller by 2 inches than Baldomir - GTFOH!!! Plus the welter division was packed with guys he could've fought AND Floyd had already been fighting at welter. Floyd IS a welterweight and not a small one, and so was Baldomir when they fought. You can say what you want but there is no valid argument for why Floyd won't fight at 154. He weighed 150 for the Oscar fight to be faster, the same reason Manny weighed in the 140's for the Margarito fight. Floyd fighting Baldomir in no way compares to Manny fighting Margarito.
Floyd needs to keep moving because that's what great fighters do, look for bigger challenges. There's no one at welter right now, where does Floyd look for challenges? Jr. Welter. What kind of fuck boy shit is that?:smh:

He walk right into it:lol::lol:

Talk about being put to sleep.....damn

Man lets not get into that shit again... Word is Dude agreed and Floyd said he was on vacation

Dude on JRIB debunked this myth. As he said, PBF outlined in 2009 that he was only fighting once this year regardless of if it was Pac or not & dude gave him props for keeping his word and questioned people talking bout how broke PBF is. He also went on to say that Pac didn't agree to Olympic Style testing, but he countered with his own testing schedule. Which negates the RANDOM element that olympic testing provides.

I think he is a big welter because he fights right at or slightly above 147 (not the weigh shit but the night of the fight weight) and 150 would probably be his top weight. If he could have put on more weight and maintained his ability, he would have. It would have been the prudent thing to do going into a fight with a bigger guy.

He's already done that. He started as a super featherweight and has gone up to a legit welter and a won a jr. middle title at 150 (he said 148 the night of the fight), just like Manny. It's just not reasonable to expect a fighter to keep moving up his entire career. Well, you can but don't expect him to take top notch fights at the bigger weights (you know Sugar Ray didn't think Donny Lalonde was a real threat).
If Devon Alexander or Tim Bradley show they can compete at welter, why shouldn't they get a shot at Mayweather (or Pacquiao)? I'd prefer to see either of them fight Berto first since he's the last good welter left but there are guys at 140 that can move up and be effective.
But no more Shane Mosely fights at 147. If Manny wanted to fight him, he should have fought him last year when he was begging.

I knew this would happen one day. I always thought it would come from a uppercut because he dips so low when he jabs to the body. His defense is spotty at best. Lets see how he bounces back from this. Might be time to change camps.

Yes, especially since Williams made Martinez fight at a catchweight and we all know how those catchweights guarantee that a fighter is weight drained. Amazingly the weakened and weight drained Martinez destroyed the ultra strong Williams. Very reminiscent of when Terry Norris fought Meldrick Taylor at the catchweight of 149 for Norris' 154lb title. Amazingly, the probably weight drained and severely weakened Norris blasted Taylor to smithereens. Norris looked fast and strong in what had to be an Oscar worthy performance because it was a catchweight so the guy must have been really weak. Martinez should call himself "Sugar" Sergio instead of Maravilla.:D

I'm not sure if you've already mentioned that Floyd reportedly weighed in the 150's when he fought Juan Manuel Marquez. I guess none of this really matters since it should be assumed that Floyd would have beaten Marquez with equal ease regardless of weight. Apparently Floyd's weight is only a factor when facing bigger opponents at 154 even though it's not supposed to matter when smaller opponents rise up in weight to fight him. Interesting.

I wasn't talking about height I was talking mass in general. Baldimir walks around at 180, but this size shit means very little unless you have skills and neither Baldi or Margs has skills. Manny gets no props until he fights Floyd for me and Floyd gets no props until he fights Manny. I don't care if they fight Klitscko.... it won't mean shit to me.

Exactly... the nigga move up throughout his career and he won a title at jr. middle but he has no pop at 154. Am I the only one that watched that Oscar fight? What do these niggas expect him to keep moving up till he isn't even effective? His best challenge at his weight won't fight him over a DRUG TEST!!!!!!

Paul just needs to tighten up his defense, and keep doing what he's been doing. He's a good fighter with a solid chin despite this k.o. Ive saw fights of his were he'S slugged it out and took some good shots. He just got caught! Martinez is a good fighter too. They should do it again.... right now its still just 1-1.
BUT THE PIC IS STILL FUNNY AS SHIT!:lol:

At least we agree on that.

Re: Paul Williams kO pic+video

Aw he just got caught, look at the clip, Martinez threw a blind punch and got lucky. :hmm:

Maybe I should read the rest of this thread before I respond, but I wonder if anyone else notices (and not that I am familiar with Sergios fighting style or that I've ever even heard of him at all) but he connected on that same punch twice, both very clean. To me that punch he threw looked like a Paqchiaou style punch. One where he ducks his head to the side and swing what seems to be a wild punch but lands very precisely. I sense a bit of copy-cat going on in the way that the football is a copy-cat league, all the times try and follow the latest successful trends. It is obvious that something clicked in Pacman that has led this amazing run he's been on and I think that weird/wild punch he throws is perhaps a big part of it. Not hard for me to see Sergio (or any other boxer) picking up a few tricks on film of the latest boxing phenom.

Am I reaching here? (no pun)

Lotta bullshit in this thread...Im disappointed....

Anways first off how the hell does Paul Williams have a glass jaw? Especially since the WHOLE fight he was being commended for how WELL he takes a shot? He took bombs from Margarito and plenty bombs from Sergio in the first fight.. The fight was playing out the same, sometimes you just get caught. Shit Rahman caught Lennox... Paul didnt see the punch.

Another thing cats talking about bigger and smaller. Man that catchweight shit is garbage. People dont realize that Pacman always has the advantage in those fights. The "bigger" man is always forced to come down. Pac is allowed to beef up his REGULAR weight, so he's never in a rush during fight week to drop weight, he can come in comfortable.

Floyd is a smart dude on that end. Floyd concedes money rather than weight. In the last 4 fights there are clauses in the contract that makes Floyd pay extra $$$ to the opponent for every pound he is overweight, therefore he comes in lighter in the pocket but at a heavier HEALTHIER weight.. Its not a coincidence that EVERY one of these "bigger" fighters Pac has beat they ALWAYS are tired and gassed at the end. The skilled fighters he fought at a mutually comfortable weight(Morales,Marquez) handled Manny.

With that said, Floyd is too concerned with fighting security guards and his baby moms than Manny...:lol::lol:

You do realize that the Williams-Martinez fight was a catchweight also with Martinez being forced to come down in weight? Williams didn't seem to have this big advantage you talk about as he slept faced down on the canvas.

That is also a rare occurrence. Plus Martinez wasnt rushing to lose weight during fight week.
