First Eli Manning said he was an elite quarterback and now Tom Brady is better than Joe Montana.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft said that he believes Brady is a better quarterback than Montana, a Hall of Fame signal caller and four-time Super Bowl champion.

"I think that Tommy, with all due respect, is better than Joe Montana," Kraft said in an interview with NFL.com. “I know that's a leap, but I really think he might already be the best of all time”

Brady’s credentials certainly are good enough to place him in the discussion. The Patriots quarterback is a three-time Super Bowl champion, two-time Super Bowl MVP, two-time NFL MVP and holds the single-season record for passing touchdowns in a season (50).

All of that considered, Kraft attributes his evaluation to the star quarterback’s work ethic and personality.
“I watch how involved he is, how driven he is,” Kraft said. “He's like (Bill) Belichick, he's into the details. And he's got a skill that makes him so special, he can process all of it so quickly. ... And then, he's just got that quality. Certain people have that sincerity. He's a very genuine guy. People can relate to him. People can trust him.”

In comparison, Montana has four Super Bowl titles, three Super Bowl MVPs and two NFL MVP awards to his name.

When his career is finished, Brady will have passed Montana in career completions, yards and touchdowns, but Montana has the advantage in Super Bowl records. Montana went 4-0 in his four appearances in the Super Bowl while Brady, who has led his team to five, is 3-2.

Brady has played with the Patriots for the duration of his 12-year career and Kraft admits that his opinion is a biased one.
"He's like a fifth son to me. He's special," Kraft said.
Vote below for who you think the best quarterback of all-time is.

He done lost his fucking mind....:smh::smh:

:lol::lol::lol:

Brady is up there, but he lacks one essential ingredient: mobility. That's why the football Giants whipped that ass. He couldn't escape the pressure, can't even roll out, and when he does scramble he makes bad descisions. Montana? Forget it, he was on his horse after the first missed block, and the ball was gone in seconds, either out of bounds or to somebody in space. Rarely made a mistake. And I'm not a 49 fan.

I'm a Giants fan and I remember how he would have that ball out of there in a fukn heartbeat. Unfortunately, I can't ever say with a straight face that any quarterback from this "red-jersey", pass-friendly era can ever see quartbacks back then. Wouldn't last a season. Some of ya'll remember the hits Craig, Moon, Montana, Theissman (DAAAMN!!), and others took. Brady would sh*t himself - and I still respect his game.

 Yessir

I understand supporting your guy but deep down he knows Montana is the GOAT

Brady is a outstanding system QB

Matt Cassel is our proof

robert kraft would have to release tom brady to put his theory to the test.

joe montana at age 37 left the 49ers and took the chiefs the deepest into the playoffs the franchise had been since joining the NFL.

joe montana proved (like shaquille o'neal) that he could succeed outside a given system with a different cast of surrounding players.

i'd like to see tom brady try.

Yes. And Brady doesn't have a real cannon either. Not like Moon, Bradshaw, Namath. Those cats could throw a ball through a wall. And they had touch. Nah, Tommy is like the brotha said: a system QB. The cheater, uh, I mean coach is responsible for a lot of his success.

And for the record, even though Montana didn't have a canon, he could heave it when he wanted to.

Why do people forget Cassel was there for a few years before Brady got hurt...People act like Cassel was a dayum rookie....:smh::smh::smh:

has Brady ever had a jerry rice..?

Nope but he had this guy

what are you talking about?

cassel got their after brady...way after brady

plus dude had never started a game since high school yet he made that offense run like normal

that alone lets you know the system is incredible

And he did it with that giant swelling on his throwing elbow and Brady would NEVER survive this, come back and still be the GOAT

He was in the league for 3 years, before they told him to start...You make it seem like he was dayum rookie...Of course he's gonna know the playbook, that's his responsibility for being a backup quarterback....

Even it was true,I dont see nobody bring up the same argument for Montana,Marino,Elway,Aikman,Kelly,Bradsaw and etc...Its always him, when someone bring up the system argument....:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

brady also had a little help from the refs

for the record fuck the 49'er and the patriots......

Cassell exposed the system and exalted Belicheck and lessened Brady's impact.

It's a lot of horrible ass, incompetent QB's in the league and TIME don't make them age like fine fucking wine.

Does it mean Brady ain't great?

No it just means when the Pats play hard ball with him, and they will, the next place he goes will tell the tale.

In an argument about the GREATEST QB OF ALL TIME his manner of success is very valid.

How are you going to say one quarterback is a system quarterback and then ignore the others....Montana was a system quarterback...Kelly was a system quarterback....Moon was a system quarterback...Elway was a system quarterback...why not them

Hell Montana is more of a system quarterback compare to Brady, since Bill Walsh birth the West Coast offense but somehow that gets ignore...

Every time someone mentions Brady as one of the great quarterback, the first thing comes out of their mouths is the system but some how that dont imply to other quarterbacks....:hmm::hmm:

Because as c said montana went elsewhere at 37 different system different cast abd took them the deepest theyve been un franchuse history he proved it wasnt system

Because Montana went somewhere else and dragged a team further than they had been previously.

Because a system doesn't dictate wins and losses.

Because Montana is undefeated in 4 fucking Super Bowls.

Because before the system, Tom Brady was a normal ass QB at Michigan.

Once again, this has NOTHING to do with whether he is great or not, but it comes into play when asked if he's the GREATEST.

Bruh you're coming across as silly right now. Montana went to a different system and flourished brady has yet to do this. He birthed an offense that others have been trying to run but haven't been as good at since. Abd painter had been peyton backup for 10 gears got in last year for the first time and stunj

that's his qb so I'm not really shocked by it, hell if you ask Tom Benson the same question he would probably say Drew Brees is better than Montana and Brady
