This probably the biggest issue i have and the biggest criticism against the black church. I can't really defend this.
Fuck Christianity. Fuck these crooked ass pastors, including Bishop Luther Blackwell of Cleveland's mega church on Scranton. This motherfucker had the church do a fundraiser to send he and his wife to Africa for the 30th anniversary.
When not enough money was raised he went to the congregation and said, "you want your man of God to fly COACH?!!!"
And those suckers ponied up more money to send he and his wife to Africa first class. Fuck these greedy ass motherfuckers. I will never ever ever ever ever ever give a penny to any church
I'm a singer, and every time somebody hears me saying they ask what church I go to and I tell them I don't go to church and sometimes they big and beg me to come to their church.
This one chick just wouldn't let go, So finally I said I'll go.
When I walked in the door I threw my wallet up high in the air, damn near to the rafters and then caught it, then opened it. When someone asked, ""Why Did you do that?"
"I told God that he can take as much money as he needed, just leave me the rest, and when I opened it all my money was still there. I guess God didn't need my money."
I was asked to leave and not to return

...if you tried to leave, and they prevented you from leaving until you gave more money...
...do you have any legal recourse? Would you be within your rights to call 911 at that moment? It's not like you're walking out without paying for something, right? Could this fall under the law for false imprisonment or extortion?

If nothing else, this is a fire code violation. I'm not an attorney but because it's on video, I think there could be some legal recourse.

This is the main reason why I hate mega churches....for some $20 is not a lot, but for others it could be....No one should ever be forced to give money to any organization....

If you can explain why you need 40 bands and be accountable for what you receive, I’ll help out but I dare you to lock them doors and I’ll intentionally ruin your life. My current church does a financial presentation every month and spends a lot on its members, especially the needy ones so I have no problem with offering.
