The father should be ashamed of himself. He has two young children with him and is behaving foolishly. Way to set an example for your children.

Chilling footage shows a sobbing killer whining that he is going "to miss GTA" moments after admitting he murdered his ex-girlfriend.

The clip begins with audio from a 999 call made by Robert Richens, 35, in which he claims he had "accidentally killed someone". He tells the operator: "You're not going to believe this. I think I accidentally killed someone." During the call, Richens later says: "I am being honest because I am ashamed of what I have done," as he breaks down in tears.

Officers are then seen arresting him outside an address in Oxford on May 30 last year, after police entered the property and found the body of 40-year-old Rachael Vaughan inside. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The footage shows Richens being taken to a police station, where he cries: "I'm going to miss GTA and that". An officer asks which version of the game he means, and Richens replies GTA 6. The officer responds that he has "ages" to wait, as the game is not due to be released until November.

Richens then wails: "Ah, I am going to get life." He was charged later that day and, in December last year, pleaded guilty to one count of murder at a previous hearing.

At Oxford Crown Court this week, he was sentenced to minimum term of 16 years and one month for the Rachael's murder.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Stuart May said: "My thoughts remain with Rachael Vaughan’s family and with everyone who loved her as they continue to face what is an unimaginable loss. Rachael was taken from them in the very place she should have felt safest – her own home.

"Robert Richens' actions were heartless. He left Rachael alone in her house, made no attempt to help her or seek medical attention and he only contacted police when he had nowhere else to turn.

"Today's sentence means that Richens will now face the consequences of his merciless actions."
