A bombshell new book has claimed 'playboy' Prince Andrew was 'obsessed with redheads and slept with at least a dozen beautiful women,' reportedly procured for him by paedophile friend Jeffrey Epstein.
Canadian author Ian Halperin claims to have spoken to at least a dozen of the Duke of York's former lovers - with comments from each of them expected to published in his book, Sex Lies and Dirty Money by the World's Powerful Elite on Thursday.
He has previously claimed the book will provide new information on Prince Andrew's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
A source close to the Duke described the claims as 'sensationalised,' saying the claims were from women 'lacking the conviction to attach their names to them'.

Speaking to Page Six, Mr Halperin said: 'There is no doubt that Epstein provided girls to Andrew, and that was the reason they were friends. He had an obsession with redheads, and Epstein would have his scouts combing the streets for the most beautiful redheads before they met.
He added: 'One of Andrew’s ex-lovers said he had a sex addiction because he was always second to Prince Charles. He compared his relationship with his brother, to William and Harry. William is looked at as royal material, just like Charles, whereas he and Harry were the bad boys.
'This led to his playboy lifestyle. He wasn’t getting attention; it made him feel special to get these beautiful women in his bed.'

The author listed the book on Amazon earlier this month, claiming it will make 'world headlines'.
According to The Sun, Halperin said: 'It's going to shed a lot of light.
'l'll say one thing after my book, if Prince Andrew is not finally interrogated by the Feds, we've got a major problem because I'm unleashing a ton (of) never before revealed stuff.

'About the Epstein case, about Maxwell, especially about Prince Andrew and about a plethora of other people connected to Epstein whose roles have never been revealed before.'
According to PageSix, Halperin said he uncovered no evidence that Andrew had sex with underage women.
A source close to the Duke said: 'Both in style and substance, many of these anonymous recollections seem sensationalised from people lacking the conviction to attach their names to them, though the emphasis on consensual, adult relationships is an important one.
'As for allegations in regard to the nature of Duke’s relationship with Epstein, these unsubstantiated and lurid tales seem designed to sell books.'

A gang member who wrote a rap in prison about shooting a 12-year-old boy has been found guilty of attempted murder.
Stephen Dunford, 25, fired a shotgun from the passenger seat of a car as it drove past the boy and his friends on Northern Avenue in Arbourthorne, Sheffield, in January.
The boy, who was not the intended target, was hit in the leg – and doctors have since been unable to remove the bullet lodged in his thigh, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.
South Yorkshire Police said a second child in the group had a “miraculous escape”, as a bullet passed through the hood of his jacket, narrowly missing his head and neck.
Dunford, from Sheffield, was heard to say “we got one” after multiple shots were fired at the group, Sheffield Crown Court heard.
He went on to write a rap, while he was on remand in prison, containing the lyric “a youth was hit by a stray”, which detectives said was a reference to a bullet and his involvement in the shooting.
Dunford recited the rap during a prison phone call which was recorded and then shared on social media.

On 12 January, the 12-year-old boy was standing with a group of friends outside a sandwich shop on Northern Avenue.
The group had intended to visit the cinema that afternoon, but at around 3.45pm, the attack happened.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the boy to hospital, where he had surgery for leg injuries before he was discharged.

Dunford was arrested two days later and charged, despite claiming he had been at his grandparents’ for Sunday dinner on the afternoon of the shooting, the court was told.
He was found guilty of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life on Monday after a six-week trial.
He was also convicted of an additional count of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, in connection to an unrelated shooting two days earlier on Northcote Avenue in the city.
Brandon Bailey, 26, of Manor Park Way, Sheffield, was also found guilty of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life. (PA)

A second man, Brandon Bailey, 26, of Manor Park Way, Sheffield, was found guilty of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He had pleaded guilty to possession of criminal property.
Detective Chief Inspector Jade Brice, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “This was an atrocious act, which resulted in the shooting of a young, innocent boy.
“The victim that day was not Dunford’s intended target but the incident has had a profound impact on him and his family.

“CCTV footage from that afternoon shows a white car drive past the group and witnesses described shots being fired. The boys immediately ran away from the car, clearly terrified.
“One of the boys, 12 years of age at the time, was shot in the leg. He bravely managed to run home, where his father, understandably traumatised, called emergency services to the scene.
“A second boy had a miraculous escape as one of the bullets struck the hood of his jacket, narrowly missing his neck and head.”

Julian Briggs, from the CPS, said: “It is only by great good fortune that Dunford’s actions did not result in the tragic death of the 12-year-old child. The second child also narrowly escaped serious injury or death.

“Dunford is a highly dangerous individual and he is now facing a long jail sentence.”
A third defendant, Devon Gregory, 23, of Heeley Green, Sheffield, was found not guilty of attempted murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Dunford and Bailey will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on October 2.

Investigation launched after black barrister mistaken for defendant three times in a day
England and Wales courts head apologises after Alexandra Wilson describes having to ‘constantly justify existence’

The head of the courts service in England and Wales has apologised to a black barrister after she was stopped and mistaken for a defendant three times in one day at court.
Kevin Sadler, the acting chief executive of HM Courts and Tribunals Service, has condemned the “totally unacceptable behaviour” and promised to investigate the complaint made by Alexandra Wilson, who specialises in criminal and family cases.

Wilson, whose chambers are near the Old Bailey in the City of London, tweeted this week that she had gone to a court and was repeatedly misidentified as a defendant rather than as a lawyer. She is the author of In Black And White, which highlights the problem of racism in the courts.
Wilson said that she was “absolutely exhausted” after what had happened and that “a light needs to be shone on this”. Her tweets triggered fresh accusations about racism in the courts.
Wilson said she had initially been stopped at the entrance by a security guard and “asked me what my name was so he could ‘find [my] name on the list’ (the list of defendants)”. She thought that might have been an “innocent mistake”.
Then a member of the public, who thought she was a journalist, told her not to go into a courtroom and to wait for the usher to sign her in for her case. She had to explain that she was the barrister.

One of the men, who is wearing a black Nike sweatshirt, stands at the head of the table as he prepares to take his shot.
He appears to ask a third man, who is wearing a black T-shirt, to move out of the way after he started a conversation with his opponent.
But the man in the black T-shirt seems to be unhappy at the request and retaliates by throwing the cue ball off the table.

A former California sheriff’s deputy who pleaded guilty to having sex with the 16-year-old son of her ex-boyfriend has been sentenced to a year in jail.
Shauna Bishop, 46, was a Sacramento County sheriff’s deputy in April 2019, shortly after she ended a yearlong relationship with a man who also worked for the department.
The man told his ex-wife that he was uncomfortable with the way Bishop behaved around their 16-year-old son, according to The Mercury News.
But the ex-wife had been on friendly terms with Bishop, who was invited to her home to speak to the boy about his drinking and marijuana use, according to court documents.
On April 28, 2019, Bishop was invited to spend the night at the ex-wife’s home.
The age of consent in California is 18-years-old.

Ambushed Pineville cop allegedly shot himself, lied about it

A Pineville police officer who alleged Sunday night that he had been ambushed and shot is now under arrest for allegedly shooting himself and then lying about it.
Deputy Chief of Pineville P-D Darrell Basco said the incident was investigated and they now believe Officer John Goulart Jr. filed a false report.
“He shot himself,” said Basco. “We’re still piecing together additional information as far a timeline but through the investigation, it was confirmed that it was self-inflicted and no one shot him.”
The incident occurred behind a shopping center. Goulart suffered minor injuries and was released from the hospital Monday.
Basco says they’re still piecing together exactly what happened but they’re confident Goulart was lying.
“We discovered that it was a false statement that was made and he was arrested (Tuesday) by us for criminal mischief and malfeasance in office,” said Basco.
Goulart has been booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and is on administrative leave.
Basco said the incident is incredibly disappointing.
“It puts some tarnish on the badge of every law enforcement officer with our department especially, and officers across the state of Louisiana and across America who go to work every day and do what they are supposed to do.” said Basco.
CrimeStoppers offered a 5,000 dollar reward for information leading to an arrest in what was initially believed to have been an ambush.
