I can just imaging the jokes back at the station.

A 61-year-old woman dressed as a giant penis was handcuffed and arrested at Fairhope’s “No Kings” demonstration Saturday.

While similar protests around the country were widely reported as peaceful with minimal police interaction or arrests, the Fairhope arrest has sparked outrage and ridicule.

The arrest happened after officers were dispatched regarding complaints about “traffic hazards in the area.”

Upon arrival, an officer observed an individual in a “phallic costume”. The officer then approached her and requested she remove her costume.

Fairhope Police Lt. Shane Nolte said the woman will be charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.

Critics of the arrest argue whether wearing an anatomically themed costume constitutes lewd conduct or if it’s protected speech.

A Texas Christian singer and worship minister born without arms from the Houston area became an inspiration for his performances, earning praise and even an invitation to perform the National Anthem at a 2022 Trump rally. Now, he's facing shocking allegations of promoting child pornography.

Jon Paul Sheptock, 49, the Worship Minister at First Montgomery Baptist Church in Montgomery, was arrested last month for the possession, production and distribution of child sexual assault materials. Montgomery County authorities said Sheptock was arrested while ministering to inmates at a state women's prison in Gatesville, just southwest of Waco.
